Miqati Travels to Italy, Says March 14 Wants to Paralyze him to Regain Power

W300

Premier Najib Miqati has criticized the “pointless” March 14-led opposition campaigns against him, saying they are only aimed at “preventing him from finding effective solutions to the major problems that the country is suffering from.”

Miqati traveled with his family to Italy on Friday and is expected to return from his vacation on Tuesday, al-Liwaa newspaper said.

His visitors told As Safir daily published Saturday that Miqati complained to them about attempts by the March 14 forces “to paralyze him and paralyze the cabinet to achieve their political gains and return to power.”

“They want me to enter into a daily dispute with them. I won’t do it … I know that they won’t leave me alone but I won’t answer,” the premier told his visitors.

His sources told al-Liwaa that he has put all opposition campaigns behind him and announced that the government would be for all the Lebanese.

Miqati’s sources also told al-Joumhouria newspaper that the cabinet needs between six to 12 months to show the positive outcome of its work.

“There is a real intention to introduce reform,” they said.

Mikati's prediction of M14 practices are more a statement of M8's history and practice against M14 led governments. M8 in fact did practice the politics of paralysis to take control of the government, so there is precedent but it is precedent created by the gang with which Mikati now runs.
Mikati is M14. He was last elected by M14 constituents. His policy toward the STL is closer to M14 than to Hezbollah. If he follows his policy, M14 cannot complain other than to say that Mikati did what they could not.
But, the paralysis that will hit Mikati will come from inside the M8, as the Mikati policy on the STL is in conflict with Hezbollah. So save this complaint, Mikati for Aoun and Hasson, they will have earned it.

Missing startrip over 12 years

This man sold out to Hezbollah to become the PM. He now has two problems: 1) how to protect his personal businesses that rely on the West, while simultaneously stroking Nasrallah, and 2) how to get elected again in a city that is now seething with anger at him and the other bozo.

Mr. Miqati, your balls are in a vice. Things will only get worse.

Missing peace over 12 years

startrip, unfortunately people easily forget. so being reelected in tripoli is not a big deal, he just has to use his propaganda machine and a little money and people will forget he betrayed them!
he will take lessons for that by aoun who is an expert in betraying his true followers...
