Toddler Dead, 5 Wounded in Tyre Accident

A toddler was killed and five others were injured on Thursday in a traffic accident near the southern city of Tyre, the state-run National News Agency reported.

Sajed Hussein al-Sheikh Ali, 18 months, died in the accident that took place on the road that links al-Hawsh to Ain Baal road, NNA said.

Zainab Idaibi, Rima al-Ashqar and Rula Taqi were taken to the Lebanese-Italian hospital in Tyre while the toddler's mother and another unidentified person were transported to Jabal Amel hospital, the agency added.

Also in the South, Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5) said that two people were injured in a traffic accident on the Sidon-Ghazieh road.
