Hizbullah Sources: Fransen’s Decision Aimed at Igniting Lebanon

W300

Sources close to Hizbullah have accused the Special Tribunal for Lebanon of seeking to ignite the situation in Lebanon and did not rule out the release of new names in the indictment in ex-Premier Rafik Hariri’s murder case to create instability in the country.

The sources told pan-Arab daily Asharq al-Awsat that Pre-trial judge Daniel Fransen ordered confidentiality around the charges against Salim Ayyash, 47, Mustafa Badreddine, 50, Hussein Oneissi, 37 and Assad Sabra, 34, be dropped so that he can serve the United States.

“We have other and more important concerns at this stage. Mainly the protection of oil resources,” the sources said.

Hizbullah’s al-Manar TV station also said that Fransen’s decision “did not bring anything new.” The publication of the names of the four Hizbullah members was a “copy of what had previously been leaked.”

Prosecutor Daniel Bellemare alleges the four men named in the indictment were involved in the Feb. 14, 2005 attack that killed Hariri and 22 others in a bomb blast.

The four are operatives of Hizbullah, including Badreddine, a brother-in-law of Hizbullah commander Imad Mughniyeh who was assassinated in Damascus in 2008.

Ayyash and Badreddine face five charges, the STL said, including "conspiracy aimed at committing a terrorist act; committing a terrorist act by means of an explosive device; intentional homicide of Rafik Hariri with premeditation by using explosive materials; intentional homicide of 21 persons in addition to Rafik Hariri with premeditation by using explosive materials; and attempted intentional homicide of 231 persons with premeditation by using explosive materials."

Oneissi and Sabra also face a charge of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act and are accused of being accomplices in the other four other charges leveled against Ayyash and Badreddine.

I just wonder what would have been Hizbollah' s reaction if Hassan Nasrallah had been assassinated by LF members, along with Mohammad Raad, Fneich , Hussein Hajj Hassan, Gebran Bassil, Wiam Wahab, etc. ?? Would have the M14 used the same argument M8 has used then when M!$ pointed out that all targeted politicians happened to be from the M14 coalition : do you want some of us to be asassinated to prove that M8 and their allies have nothing to do with those murders?
Or maybe should we have said Israel assassinated Nasrallah without proof whatsoever? If Israel is responsible for all those death then maybe they made Imam Sadr disappear?
Enough bullshit! Teh culprits have been caught heavy handed ths time. No Addoum to push for another Abou Al Adass theory, or Frangieh to pretend that some lebanese australians, had visited suspiciously lebanon and left their flown-in luggage in Bieurt when departing to Ausralia! This time science forensic evidence will nail them down! No drone movies

or spy thrillers will get them of the hook! They will have to answer for their filthy crimes in front of an international court. One can only praise the professional work done by Bellemare and his team, and appalud the results they managed to reach despite an underground and creeping opposition (unnoticed at the beginning for the general public) , from every position they controlled in the state , when the circle closed on them! Then they moved to violent agressive acts like in Dahie when they officially organised the visit of a clinic, while organising at the same time the agression (through militiamen dressed up as women!) against the STL delegates! A double deception act! The same way they voted the establishment of the STL first and then...We know what happened, gently pulling on the hand brakes! All this game has been ucovered and is over now! Days on the loose are numbered for all those who thought they were above the law

Can a country exist when it has to deal with criminals 'amicably' so they dont do more damage, don' t take hostage and threaten more people? When it has to deal amicably with the theft of public and private property? When it has to deal amicably with the non payment of telephone and taxes dues? When it has to constantly bow, turn a blind eye on acts of defiance, on individuals breaking the law? When it places on equal footing thise who are enforcing the law, the army the security forces, and the thugs they' re supposed to contain, such as we saw in the Chiyah incidents a few years back? Etc.... This is just the beginning of the STL proceedings.Wait till more nominees get Bellemare Oscars!

Yeah..... this new found excuse to divert attention of what this filthy prejudice militia had committed. Yeah....killing a man like Rafik Harriri and moving on to better and bigger things and along the way make those killers Saints Mar Nassrallah. These so called saints executed the murder but Nassrallah gave the orders. This is so typical of tyrants and totalitarian parties and regimes. As Gaega recently said : Who in hell appointed you and your thugs to defend Lebanon's natural resources? Unless you are already laying the foundation to claim these resources as yours and your shiites!
