Cabinet to Tackle Critical Issues during Tuesday’s Session

The cabinet will hold on Tuesday a meeting tackling a number of critical issues, some topics are linked to the escalating developments in the south and the demarcation of the maritime borders of the Exclusive Economic Zone.

Al-Liwaa newspaper reported that the Economic and Agriculture Ministers will discuss the prices issue and the difficulty of finding markets for the agricultural products.

Concerning the electricity crisis, the daily said that the Water and Energy Minister and several other ministers will tackle the issue during the government meeting.

Meanwhile, An Nahar newspaper reported that Prime Minister Najib Miqati is preparing a plan to deal with the accumulated social, economic and financial issues.

Cabinet sources noted that Miqati will call for a series of meetings away from the media spotlight to discuss the electricity crisis, to control price fixing and monitor food safety.
