Dangerous Kidnapper among Several Fugitives Arrested in the Bekaa

W300

Internal Security Forces announced on Saturday arresting “one of the most dangerous fugitives” and seizing several vehicles in the Bekaa, as the security plan continues to be implemented in the region and in the North.

"Ali Khodr Jaafar, also known as Ali al-Shaar, is one of the most dangerous fugitives and is linked to several kidnapping operations,” an ISF communique detailed, noting that the arrest took place during a security operation in the region.

“He collaborated with the gangs of detainees Abbas Jaafar and Ali al-Masri in kidnapping several Lebanese and Arabs for ransom,” the statement said.

Al-Shaar also attacked, along with with Abbas Jaafar's gang, an army patrol in the Bekaa region of Riyaq in 2009, leaving four soldiers dead and an official with severe injuries.

"His attacks against ISF patrols in Baalbek killed several soldiers too,” the ISF statement added.

The detained man is also accused of drug dealing, and of firing gunshots using small and medium-caliber weapons.

"Investigation with the detainee got under way under the supervision of the competent court to uncover his possible involvement in other crimes,” the statement reported.

Also in the Bekaa, security forces seized nine vehicles during its raids of “suspicious sites” in the northeastern town of Arsal.

Six of the confiscated cars were stolen, and three without the necessary legal documents.

The army later announced in a communique that Syrian national Abdul Nabi Roumieh was held in Arsal over "his suspicious his ties with terrorist groups."

And in the Bekaa's Mashghara, H. A. was arrested for firing gunshots and wounding one person.

“H. A. is also wanted on theft charges and for not possessing legal documents,” the army added.

Later in the evening, the state-run National News Agency reported that army troops arrested additional fugitives during the raids in several regions in Baalbek, including the towns of al-Kayyal, al-Sharawina, al-Osseira, Dar al-Wassia, and Iaat.

Meanwhile, Sh. Sh. and two others were detained in Mekse town in the Bekaa on charges of blocking roads and attacking passersby.

Army troops also continued implementing the newly adopted security procedures in the northern city of Tripoli.

Saturday's efforts in the North resulted in the arrest of A. F. in Tripoli's Hara Barranieh area.

A. F. is accused of threatening shop owners in the neighborhood of Bab al-Tabbaneh in disputes that were fueled by sectarian motives.

The Lebanese army had tightened its grip earlier on Saturday on Baalbek's al-Sharawina neighborhood from all sides and carried out raids in search of suspects.

Army units began deploying in the area three days after it kicked off a security plan in the eastern towns of the Bekaa Valley despite reports that top-wanted suspects have fled the area.

On Thursday, the army deployed in the Bekaa Valley at the start of the security plan after armed forces took full control of all checkpoints on the road linking the towns of Arsal and Hermel near the Syrian border.

Hizbullah members used to search cars amid a wave of car bombs that killed scores of people.

A similar security plan has gone into effect in the northern city of Tripoli where scores of suspects have been arrested for their involvement in several rounds of fighting.

The big fish have already vanished and are residing in fully furnished apartments in Dahieh. The small fish are left out to fend for themselves.

It is so unlike HA to shoot and kill LAF. I refuse to believe it, I simply do!

In lebanon, like in george orwell's novel, all animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others...

Well ya Bani Maarouf, go figure it out, but first, rid yourself of the other profiles, makes you lighter you see?

This makes sense. However, its a start. This is not common to do in this area. These low class hoodlums need to be arrested, I mean kidnapping, come one, we are not Somalian. This is a horrible crime and needs to stop.

This is how it ought to be, let the army clean the slate, of all vermins.

Ah Cederseed, these thumbs down are most probably from just two persons in this forum, using multiple profiles. But as of today I will keep knocking on their heads till they accept that only one profile is more than enough. The rest is a complete Lack of Dignity for them.

Correct JB, if the army continues in this way, then the people of Lebanon will quickly opt for the army and drop the militias, all of them. Let the army continue like this, soon we shall be free.

YEAAAHHHHH Go army go.

It is amazing how efficient the lebanese can be when they decide to put their mind to it.

All the lawlessness we had before was because of the lack of political will. Now HA got a slap on the hand from takfiris and it accepted to cooperate, while Saad saw that evil assad is loosing so he also accepted to cooperate.

I hope both's ego stay small and they keep cooperating.

i mean evil assad is winning. (lapsus)

Lebanon first
Don't be amazed cause the LAF can do its job well as you can see. The only weakness is its lack of political order and cover and backing from our corrupt leaders

Oh yes I heard about that. According to my friends who live there corruption is rampant as well as kidnappings where the Lebanese are targeted. One of my friend's cousin was assaulted at his home and was killed in front of his wife and kids
if you live there take care of yourself and may god protect you

I command you for your love of Lebanon. I love it too in fact the reason I come back is precisely because of all the best Lebanon offered then. So I come back here with the beautiful Lebanon in mind but when I get here the sad reality sinks in and all I see are deceit, etc..... it saddens me a lot to the point where I rather not see it that way and keep in my memory t./he beautiful Lebanon during its glory days. As for Lebanon getting better it will some time but it will be along process and if and when it does I will probably will be old senile with a cane and denture and/or a walker...lol
you in Lebanon now?

Ah ya Bani Maarouf, when you decide on one profile, you see? You can be capable of some intelligence. Now your challenge is to try to continue like this, that is in the club of civilized behavior. Tough as it may feel, being decent is unbeatable, try it for a few more days, it will work and will gain you some much needed respect. And oh, drop the other profiles, you stick out like a sore thumb when you use them, you see?

Under the circumstances, the army's direct engagement is crucially needed and a welcome lost friend until Lebanon goes on the path of normalization. Having said that, death sentence. I would also extend my severe punishment to anyone remotely implicated with this garbage. Lebanon now needs "a one man strong leader" who has the courage, direction, purpose and vision to take out the garbage both local and foreign and bring their Lebanese counterpart puppets to their knees.
