Franjieh Says Hariri’s Hatred Overcomes National Interest

W300

Marada leader MP Suleiman Franjieh said on Thursday that ex-Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s hatred has overcome the national interest since the assassination of his father on Feb. 14, 2005.

Franjieh, in remarks to al-Manar television, said that Hariri placed the murder of his father in a position higher than Lebanon and its stability.

“During the past period he (Hariri) wished that Syria would be accused in the murder and today he doesn’t want to unveil who killed ex-PM Rafik Hariri,” Franjieh said. He only wants Hizbullah to be accused, he added.

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon published on Wednesday the indictment after it said there was enough evidence to try four Hizbullah members in the murder of Hariri.

“The main objective is to nourish the Shiites-Sunni hatred,” the MP stressed.

The Marada leader noted “every three years they reveal a new story.”

Franjieh said that “they are trying to target the resistance through the STL and the U.N. after the 2006 war.”

He considered that some Sunni leaders think they can control the country, saying: “Some think that if a political party lost its position in authority, then the whole sect will lose.”

“I urge everyone to preserve coexistence,” Franjieh said.

He stressed: “We’re against Israel and we bet on the resistance and support the current regime in Syria. The near future will prove that our choice was right.”

You hate Hariri for obvious reasons ; The Marada Movement ( To terrorize the North) is on Iran payroll .
Hariri demanded justice not revenge . You on the other hand took the law in your own hand to avenge your parents and killed so many innocents bystanders ,
All lebanese are fed up with Hizbolllah tactics and maneuvres and your resistance is nothing more than a mafia inspired by a bigger mafia The Mullahs of Iran .
No more car bombs , no more killing , no more kidnappings and yes to justice for all

We don't care what Saad El Hariri's reasons are. We as Lebanese want the STL and we want all criminals that have assassinated any Lebanese from Rafik El Hariri to Bashir Gemayel, to be held accountable as well as the planners and all parties involved.
Instability will happen when the criminals are cornered.

I as one, do not wish to live in such a cesspool, the criminals must pay for all their crimes.

I agree with you Hiram but they will never know who killed all these politicians. When its a political assassination and countries are involved don't expect to know the truth. Sad but true. As for the STL, it has lost it's legitimacy and any person who reads and follows politics knows that.

As a Lebanese i want to live in a country where people are held accountable for their crimes. People can not be killed without justice taking it's course. Be it Israel, the Syrian regime, Hizbullah, or even Saad Hariri himself, however is behind those murders should be brought to justice.
International law states that people are guilty when it's proven beyond a reasonable doubt. This means that anyone accused has a chance to point out the flaws in the case and should be able to go free, but this is done in court not in the media. If the four people being accused believe they are wrongly accused they should be comfortable to defend their case. If you think about it the STL are the one that have the though job of proving beyond a reasonable doubt.
As for Mr. Franjieh, i would like to ask him how he would like to see this play out?!? people are murdered but because asking the questions is too hard and can lead to problems we should look the other way?

Mr Frangie, soon you will receive a phone from Mr Bellemare who would want to hear you as was rumoured in the press. About what? Maybe your appointment of Ali Hajj a few months before Hariri' s killing, Hajj who knew of every move Hariri made, his daily routine, and carried his brieface for so many years. That guy may have been very precious to those who were seting up the plot. No Mr Francie, the hatred comes from the criminals not from the victims side. Not only Hariri' s but so many other victims that fell under the murderous plot of a criminal organisatin called Hizbollah. Those guys have been plotting for years, undergroud, far more than we know at that stage, and may have been responsible for the murdr of so many! They' re the ones who have set up the grounds for fitna and not the victims. They' re the ones who are full of hate, ad who have gambled with the fate of the country. And still do unrepently to this date, by either being acquitted or taking hostage the contry as a whol

no excuse us this time little sleiman, the near and distant future will defintely prove you wrong: the fake resistance "iranian terrorrist agency" will be proven guilty in many murders by a reputable, transparent trial unlike the trials that run inyour sponsor regime, the syrian dictatorship the source of your powerf will crumble under the feet of its freedom seeking people, and a new dawn will emerge in our region!! so stop dreaming and get real !!!

Default-user-icon Truth (Guest) over 12 years

what you' re suggesting to bow to their blackmail. This is exactly where the fitna lies. Where any victim would wait for its hour to take revenge. No Mr Frangie, this is not anymore an issue for an man to decide, be it Saad Hariri himself. It' s a whole community and country which is at stake. Luckily , Hariri is not in power today so he doen' t to make those useless nonsensical statements exonerating Syria or Iran from any wrongdoing! Letting a criminal organisation roam unchecked is an invitation to do more of the same, and hand the country to an armed minority who will be left alone to decide about our fate. Only accountabilty and punishment can act as a derrent for any would be criminal. And that is coming fast!

justice over your so-called stability any day.. your ignorance is expected. our cause is not bigger than a man named rafic hariri and his griefing son.. we stand for a Lebanon where no politican is murdered no matter what his ideal, u force ur stability by killing off all other voices and we now realize its a matter of time before you try to silence our voice and use ur guns to kill anybody who doesnt stand with you.. Hariri and March 14 is movement now, a movement for the sake of lebanon. once Hizb disarams and the mujdering plotters out in jail, then the whole M14 will dissolve and we can agrue about political representation as much as you want, and without fear of your rampaging goons.. what all the supporters of Hiz seem to forget is how easy it is for everybody to get armed and attemtp justice by guns.. u claim we dont want stability, our refusal to arm and defend ourselves is the only pillar of stability left. otherwise, the lot of you would be rotting in the sewers with Hassan

Its a shame about Frangieh, grandson to a President of the Republic and he is reduced to nothing more than a Lebanese mouthpiece for the Assad Regime. The Frangieh's and Assad's have a long term relationship based on their mutual fear and hatred of Sunni Muslims. Frangieh for those in Tripoli and Assad for those all over Syria.
And he says Hariri has a problem?!
This is nothing more than Assad getting reassurance from his Lebanese quizlings, keeping them in line, as he fights for his life. Aoun is the best paid servant and so he is the most loyal. Frangieh must get a smaller paycheck.
Hezbollah has its own battle to fight with the STL and Syria had Ahmad Jabril send some rocket lauching platforms to the Chouf via Hezbollah transport to have Jumblatt remember who killed his father so he'll shut up about moving the Druze out of the Assad orbit.
Things must be pretty tough at the Palace in Damascus if Frangieh is being enlisted now.

You are using Hizbus jargon hoping that will cover your own involvement in the assassination of prime Minister Hariri.
You think you can fool people by blowing your own size like a frog.
Judgement day is getting closer.
Your own protector is searching a rat hole to hide in it, just like others.
You are advised to find one for yourself.

Ah our good friend sleiman franjieh has emerged from the shadows. And look, no surprise...taking the same route that the guilty of lebanon hav always used...blamin a Hariri, any Hariri, to organize their sheep. Sleiman, ur sounding a lot like mr nasrallah now. Of course on al manar, further organizing the sheep. Once again, I'll reiterate, why does the ant (mustaqbal) purposefully incite the lion (Hezbollah)? Why would Hariri purposefully try to incite strife which would obliterate his rag tag militia against the thousands of missiles of hezbollah? Looks like franjieh is getting rather nervous, the rest of the indictments and the imminent fall of the Assad regime has him shaking....

According to M8 there should be no justice in Lebanon, espcially if M8 does the crime. It isn't just Harriri.....there were more than 20 high level murders. Syria and M8 are collapsing. Nasrallah looked pathetic witn his false logic and lies on TV yesterday.

Default-user-icon Gebran Sons for Cedar Revolution II in 2013 (Guest) over 12 years

Most criminals condemned to be executed have killed only once. Assad is responsible for killing thousands. It is only fair for Lebanon after Assad is deposed to hand in to the Syrian justice those Lebanese who have tried to cover Assad crimes and justify his murders. Franjieh should be on the top of this list, along with seemingly gentlemen like Marwan Fares or Assaad Hardan. They and many others are partners in crimes. The new Lebanon should be firm in standing for human rights and insuring these people who were accessory to crimes do not escape justice.

If there is anything or anyone that made this tribunal lose its legitimacy, it is Hezbollah's media. I do not understand what else made it lose its legitimacy for those who believe that it lost its legitimacy.

The problem is here: how legitimate is Hezbollah's media to decide what is legitimate and what is not?

A conspiracy against the resistance, what type of non-sense is that? The so-called "resistance" is the reason why Israel strives! Without a threat, Israel does not receive billions and billions of dollar in military support.

Is Hezbollah the only type of resistance that is IMPOSED on us? Why don't we get a chance to have a smart resistance, such as the one that is being conducted by Mahmoud Abbas, and that seems to be winning its battle over the "zionists".

These are questions addressed to the likes of "bigdigg, Le Phenicien, mowaten, Someone and all the crap that follows" because the rest of us have figured this part of the story a long time ago.

Where is the justice for Franjieh for the Ehden Massacre of June 13 1978 where his mother, father, and little sister were slaughtered by the people YOU follow??

Most of you people who claim to love Hariri all hated him when he was alive but are now only friends with his son in order to get power and money.
