Rocket Fired from South towards Israel Lands in Lebanon
A rocket was fired overnight on Friday from the South towards Israel, announced the army in a statement.
It said that unknown assailants fired the rocket from the outskirts of the town of Beit Lahya at 1:50 am and it landed near the Rashaya al-Fukhar town.
No one was injured in the incident.
The army has since deployed patrols in the area.
Earlier, it was reported that two Katyusha rockets were fired in the Kfar Hammam region towards Israel, but they missed their target and landed within Lebanese territories.
Voice of Lebanon radio (93.3) added that Israeli jets fired light bombs over the area in response to the incident.
On Tuesday, a rocket was launched from the outskirts of the southern town of Shebaa towards Israel, but it also landed in Lebanese territories.
A number of similar incidents have taken place recently in light of the Israeli campaign against the Gaza Strip that began earlier this month.
