Rocket Fired from Lebanon Hits Northern Israel

W300

A rocket fired from Lebanese territory hit northern Israel late Saturday, the army said on the 47th day of a war against the Islamist movement Hamas in and around Gaza.

"The rocket that was fired from Lebanon hit the Upper Galilee," the army said in a statement, correcting a previous communique that said the rocket had hit east of Acre.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the launch or reports of damage or injuries.

A Lebanese security source said the rocket was fired from Dheira, three kilometers (nearly two miles) from the border with Israel.

The same source noted that Israeli helicopters were seen flying around the border area.

In mid-July, at least nine rockets were fired from Lebanon at the Jewish state, prompting Israel to retaliate with artillery fire.

Lebanese military officials had at the time said they believed the attacks were carried out by a small Palestinian group in an act of solidarity with Gazan militants.

So whilst the head of Israel's Army is occupied with the Gaza Strip, someone thinks that he should try and pull the tail. I don't think that he quite realises what he could be getting himself into. I think the LAF had better take control of things very fast before matters get out of hand.

Lebanon has a big heart and an empty head . This is what we and our children and their children will be paying the price of housing over 2 million refugees in our country , that do not participate in anyway economically or socially . They are uncontrolled and have weapons and rockets and are trying to drag us in a conflict with ISRAEL also . This is the last thing we need now and no matter what everyone says , the country will never be stable if we do not wake up and see this immense threat on us , our children and the future ( if any ) of this country

Did you perhaps think that the reason they do not participate economically is that your government forbids them from doing so? If Lebanon handled the few tens of thousands of refugees in 1948 the same way that Israel handled the hundreds of thousands of Jewish refugees from Arab lands at the same time, perhaps there would be no Palestinian problem in Lebanon.

Immediately someone disagrees with your point of view they are
1. a woman - My first name is Ralph, what is yours Fatima?
2. a zionist - I am a socialist, a philatelist, a retiree, what else.
What are you?
Don't you realise that not all the world has your warped mind.
Palestinian refugees - How many people who were there in 1948 (66 years ago) are still alive? They are the only ones who are refugees.
