Army Arrests Ringleaders of Terrorist Attacks in North

The Lebanese army said on Thursday it has arrested two terrorist leaders involved in attacks on the military during the clashes in northern Lebanon last month.

An army communique said the military intelligence apprehended on Wednesday Ayman Abdul Hamid Mheish who leads a terrorist group that was involved in a plot to kidnap Lebanese soldiers in the town of Bhannine on October 25.

The same group fired a grenade at a military vehicle, leaving several soldiers injured, it said.

“Most of the terrorist group's members have been arrested,” the communique added.

Also Wednesday, the army arrested Osama Yehya Bakhash who leads a terrorist group that ambushed soldiers in Bhannine on October 26.

Four soldiers were killed in the attack while Bakhash was injured, said the communique.

The rest of his network's members are on the run, it added.

The gunbattles between the army and terrorists in the northern city of Tripoli, Bhannine and surrounding areas have left dozens of fighters, soldiers and civilians dead and injured.

The clashes erupted after the military arrested during a raid Ahmed Miqati who has admitted to plotting a ground offensive along with accomplices from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant to control vast territories in northern Lebanon and establish an emirate there.

Anyone who shoots at our army is a traitor and a terrorist, so when our beloved army catches them, it can only make us the people all the happier. Yalla, catch them, one by one till they exist no more. Then once the army extends its authority over those areas, it should then start entering those areas that Hezbollah is still keeping under its hegemony. Only the L.A.F are allowed to rule and no one else. Ya reyt we could also have military rule, ya reyt.

Phoenix, I agree in the support of the army, but Dahiyeh and all the other so called Hezbollah areas, as you call it, are full with army patrols and checkpoints.

Travel around Lebanon yourself one day, and you will see it for yourself, instead of saying something you do not know anything about.

The Resistance support the army in their struggle, no matter how much you Kataeb and LF boys seem to hate that fact. That is ignorance my friend, not wisdom.

Everyone knows, that if the Resistance did not intervene in Syria, then all Lebanon would've been surrounded and overrun by the takfiris today.

Wont be a surprise to anyone here... ;) but i fully agree with Mystic

The resistance works with the army, not against it, you dont see HA throwing grenades at its checkpoint or shooting soldiers.

"The resistance works with the army, not against it"

LOL only blind people say this... hezbollah works for its interests not those of the army! if hezbollah truly worked for Lebanon and the army they would integrate it and be placed under its orders!
if they worked with the army and believed in it they would strengthen it by obeying it not obeying the leader of a party that pledeged allegiance to an islamic revolution!

if the army ever wanted to take hezbollah weapons, you d see your militia shoot at it, not cooperating with it! your master iranman said that he would not let anyone take their arms.... LOL

all the "respect" the army thing is just pure hypocrisy and populism addressed to fools that are blinded by the idiocy of hezbollah....
