To follow their example, I hereby pledge to not insult my brothers Mowaten, Jabal Amel and Bigdig and ask we sit down to discuss our issues in brotherly peace and love...

(Naharnet, can we translate this into Farsi so that my message is well received?)

And the Orthodox and Armenians? I am Maronite myself, but we Maronites do not hold the monopoly on Christianity, not even in Lebanon. The Lebanese Orthodox Community is quite significant as is the Armenian and they deserve to be at the table.

It is devisive to leave them out. Maronites got in trouble the last time by being arrogant and unrepresentative so that when danger came, the other Christian communities of Lebanon did not necessarily rally to the side of the Maronites.

This is not doing Christians a favor by having such a meeting where Sunnis are represented by one Mufti, Shia by one Imam and the Druze by their recognized leader. Christians are not like this. We have many and they need to be represented if there is to be a united Christian presence at such an interfaith meeting.

@elielebnan. I told you so. Ignoring the other sects in lebanon is failure. Unless every one is included nothing would change. Lebanon will only be saved by abolishing religion and changing the old french laws. Religious leaders should go back to their mosques and churches and leave politics to the politicians. One nation under God with liberty and justice for all. What we are witnessing here is from the 1100 the crusaders days. While the rest of the world is going on to the 22nd century . Lebanon is going back to the 11th century.
