12 Wounded in Clash at ‘Mecanique’ Center

W300

Twelve people at the mandatory vehicle inspection “mecanique” center in Hadath were wounded in an armed clash on Wednesday, reported Voice of Lebanon radio.

The clash erupted when one of the citizens, who had entered his car for inspection, found out that his vehicle had failed the test, it said

Upon learning the news, he took his gun and started shooting randomly at the center, lightly wounding individuals at the scene.

VDL said that the injuries, mainly knocks and bruises, were incurred in the shoving that took place in light of the panic of the shooting.

MTV identified Ali al-Moqdad as the shooter.

Security forces immediately rushed to the scene to contain the situation.

The employees at the center consequently suspended their work.

Also on Thursday, three people from al-Allawi family were injured in an armed clash in the Bekaa town of Taanayel.

NNA said that a dispute between Ahmed and Humaid al-Allawi on one side and Walid al-Allawi on the other turned into a gunfight.

the filthy zionist information war department is portraying every incident in a way that our glorious resistance is guilty for it.

while on the other hand, most shooting and bombing is on tripoli area and has nothing to do with our glorious resistance

Glorious resistant? What the hell are you talking about? 1/2 of Lebanon was destroyed and you call the armed gangs as glorious resistant..........shame on you and your employer

Thumb geha over 12 years

these centres are controlled by Nabih Beri followers :)
anyway, the existence of weapons in the hand of one side is obviously creating a lot of issues.
weapons should be in the hands of armed forces only

Notice how people such as bigdig go to great lengths in order to justify the horrible act of his fellow Shiite Ali Moqdad. These are Ashraf Al Nass that Nassrallah is proud of. What a bunch of filth....

The problem is that the government employees are the most corrupt on earth, only maybe surpassed by the African nations (maybe India too). On the other hand we have armed thugs that have no shred of civility or decency, now put these 2 in one place and you have a shootout. The funny thing is that the security forces came in to "contain" the situation, in other words, no arrests were made. While isreal, Cyprus and now the Turks dig for oil off our shores, we are having meaningless squabbles to only pull us further down into the dark ages that some want us to procrastinate in. does not look good for us if this continues!

bigdig, I hear your frustration about the corruption. I understand how horrible it is, and how it needs to stop. But please, do not say things like: 'We all need to be Ali Moqdad'.
If you hate corruption, you must also hate aggression, violence, killings, etc...
I respect a lot what you did when you refused to pay the 'simsar'. On the other hand, you need to apologize for the sake of the families of those who were hurt, for saying: 'We all need to be Ali Moqdad'.
I am sure if your father, or mother or brother or sister or wife was there, you would not have the same attitude.
If you hate corruption, keep refusing it, and teach others to do the same. Start a political party which has ONE agenda: NO MORE CORRUPTION! and trust me, you will have all the youth and young adults with you.

Mr Mokdad has sided with the Dark side of the Lebanese Force....Definitely he should start practicing yoga behind bars ...However the problem doesn't end here. There are two main problems indirectly mentioned in this article:
1-Bekaa valley: many reason has led minor part of this area to became the little Mexico, The government should take a real tackle this chronic problem by implementing some clever development strategies
2-The mecanique: it's a Jungle run by monkeys where corruption, cheating and fraud are the main characteristics of this area.
Again the government should radically reform this mecanique and its related institutions. for instance one shouldn't worry about the driving license exam since this license will be delivered to his home...We are good in services aren't we!!!

Mr. President, it is about time to put an end to this corruption. This is the least that the Lebanese people can ask of you.

and ya hassouni, your moukawama is imploding minute by minute and your thugs will have no place to hide...

Default-user-icon Pong Lenis (Guest) over 12 years

The car of a Saint is sanctified as well.

The rejection of the car at the mecanique is a conspiracy against the glorious resistance.

Ali Al Moqdad faced with courage this conspiracy by using the sacred weapons of the Resistance against the zionists who have a spying center at the mecanique.

The mecanique center is located at the border with Israel and the use of weapons is the only way to protect Lebanon against the mecanique invadors.

Now that this incident passed, we ask all the Lebanese to participate in building a united Lebanon where all citizens are equal have same rights.

Default-user-icon Pong Lenis (Guest) over 12 years

We got more clarifications.

It turned out to be that the bandits who fired inside the mecanique area are in fact peaceful citizens hunting birds since it is the season.

The conspirators transformed this innocent fact into an ugly banditism act not compatible with the purity of the Resistance.

This conspiracy reminds us of the Antelias bombing where two saints lost their life while trying to place a bomb in a public parking. They were in fact just repairing their car.

The weapons of the Resistance are sacred and turned into the South.

The pillar of the independant journalism is Al Manar.

Al Manar is based on the long experience of the prestigious Syrian journalism, awlays rich in facts and based on the voice of the people.

Some people here wirte just to write because they don't have any logic argument to defend their scandalous acts.

You know I am a Mecanique employee and I was there when it happened and I feel sad to read your opinions and reviews! The samesra problem is in all the Mecanique centers! From Tripoli-zahle-saida-beirut I guess you can say the problem is not religion it is with the Lebanese psyche! The samesra are doing a service for Lebanese people who wants to inspect their cars the weird minded twisted way as if Mecanique in from Mars! So the problem first starts with the normal everyday Lebanese person! So to promote these ideas you all are saying is simply vindictive and lacks creativity in analysis!
The thing is if we were cheating and corrupted! this problem would have not happened! And if we didn’t want a clean inspection! Our employees won’t revolt to intimidation! We just want to do is do our work in peace! Too sad for all of you to talk like this! Poverty and lack of civility is everywhere in Lebanon
