Hariri Leaves Beirut after 12 Days of Political Activity
Al-Mustaqbal movement leader ex-PM Saad Hariri left Beirut for Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, after he stayed in Lebanon for twelve days.
Former “premier Saad Hariri left Beirut this evening for Riyadh,” Hariri's press office announced.
During his brief stay in Lebanon, Hariri delivered a speech in BIEL at a rally commemorating the tenth anniversary of the assassination of his father, ex-PM Rafik Hariri.
In the address, Hariri stressed that al-Mustaqbal's dialogue with Hizbullah will continue, as he rejected to “acknowledge to Hizbullah any rights that exceed the state's right to control the decisions of war and peace.”
While in the country, the ex-PM also held meetings with several political leaders and popular and economic delegations.
Among those he met were Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun, Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea, Speaker Nabih Berri, Prime Minister Tammam Salam, Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat and Kataeb Party chief Amin Gemayel.
Hariri had arrived in Beirut from his self-imposed exile in Riyadh only hours before BIEL's February 14 rally. He has been residing for years in Riyadh and Paris over security concerns.

With all my respect to Saad, but this is not how real leaders do, a real leader does not live away from his people, a real leader does not live underground fully pampered and protected, a real leader does not call the shots away from the conflict zone,a real leader is one like Bachir Gemayel who charges right there in front of his men. No one was more threatened than Bachir Gemayel yet Bach was always there, right in front of us. What we have these days are not leaders, just bosses giving directions from fortified residences, period.
