Lebanon Says Backs Any Arab Action that 'Reassures Everyone' after Yemen Strikes
Lebanon on Thursday took an ambiguous stance that is in the vein of its famous “dissociation policy” towards regional conflicts, voicing support for any joint Arab action that “reassures everyone,” after Saudi warplanes bombed Shiite rebels in Yemen and sparked Iranian warnings.
“Any joint Arab action is lauded if it is based on standards that guarantee (the interests of) everyone, reassure everyone and involve everyone,” Foreign Minister Jebran Bassil said, addressing a meeting for Arab FMs in Sharm el-Sheikh.
The meeting aims to prepare for the 26th ordinary Arab Summit and had been scheduled prior to the Saudi-led strike.
Riyadh has said it assembled a coalition of more than 10 Arab and Muslim countries for the operation it dubbed "Firmness Storm."
The military move against the Shiite Huthi rebels in Yemen triggered fury from Riyadh's regional rival Iran, with officials warning that the military action threatened to spill over into other countries.
The bombing of the Huthi rebels, who are said to be backed by Iran, came days after Yemen seemed headed toward all-out civil war as the militia advanced southwards towards the southern city of Aden.
Relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia have been strained for years, notably over the civil war in Syria, but the crisis in Yemen has put them sharply at odds again.
The Saudi strikes appeared designed to halt a Huthi surge that had seemed destined to allow the Shiite minority to seize control of the whole of Yemen, Saudi Arabia's Sunni-majority neighbor.
Riyadh said it was acting to restore the government of President Abedrabbo Mansour Hadi, who has been holed up in Aden since fleeing the rebel-controlled capital Sanaa last month.
Iran has denied playing any part in the rebel power grab in Yemen, but government officials have criticized Hadi for revoking an offer to resign and accused him of stoking the crisis by fleeing Sanaa.

Justin, trust me, I am as best as I could trying to keep matters within the confines of decent engagement with Roar, so I will divulge only exerts of his posts. I used to bear it out with him taking in punches in the lower belly regularly, I thought, fine, OK, he has his views, maybe he does things over the top, but my patience hit a low ebb when I became more certain that it was him posting in the FPM forum. On the consideration that the FPM forum is heavily tainted and one-sided, given that Hezbollah doesn't have a forum as per se, given that our forums give them all free access to opinion, I see people like Roar biting the hand that feeds him or throwing stones into the well he drinks from. This is so common with Aoun's followers, in the sense that he led the way decades ago when we at the LF gave him weapons only to find out later that he used those same weapons to shoot at us. His partisans are doing the very same trashy thing, and it does make me react.

Justin, finally may I remind that I used to post regularly in the LF forum then later moved on to Sawte.com. Both forums took lots of blows from people like Roar though not under the same acronym, but the element of diverting attention from topics was definitely there, anyone could sense it, provocation, slurs, insults on the personal level to the point several LF posters like myself eventually got bans, the LF forum was the worst to be honest with Mods well below par. When I see people attempting to do the same here in Naharnet, it would be sinful of me to remain quiet, given the fact that I've seen what happens to Pro-M14 forums that allow such FPM/ Hezbollah/M8 trolls to disrupt if not derail and entire good forum. In all honesty, I personally urge the Naharnet mods to remain vigilant. The Roar is a confirmed troll and very close to the Aoun family. He will deny till kingdom come, he will try to create stories, but some facts are too eerily close to verifiable reality.

I agree phoenix. It is really disturbing to see this behavior. When I posted less than 4 hours ago the votes on this article were completely different and I noticed a deliberate attempt by someone or someones to make the votes somehow balanced. Also, notice how these insulting and offensive names come up just to call people names. Anyway, not to worry. I guess it is a sign of weakness when people have to resort to these cheap methods. (1). To cap it off whilst hoping that I am not overstaying my welcome in this thread, speaking for myself, I have nothing personal against the Roar or anyone else for that matter. One could easily see me engaging M8 partisans on very sensitive issues whereby we are poles apart, yet hardly ever has the decorum been broken. Roar could easily air his views in as open and frank a manner, but definitely without resorting to personal attacks or name-calling, or creating such silly stories like my being of Palestinian origins. In fact come to think of it, do we all want to sound the same? Personally I hope not, we all need to hear from each other with the aim of bridging gaps between us, and the best of it all is that we can remain good friends.

Believe me when I say that if and when I'll meet with people like Mystic, or Mowaten or Southern or Karim masalan, I will hold for them all fraternal affection and absolutely NO animosity of any kind, they have their views and so do I.
