One Wounded in Army Raids in Bekaa
The Lebanese army carried out raids in Dar al-Wasaa neighborhood in the Bekaa region where one person was reportedly wounded, the National News Agency said on Monday.
One man was wounded in raids that the army carried out early Monday on the houses of fugitives from the Jafaar family in Dar al-Wasaa.
Members from the Jafaar family opened gunfire at the army units.
The army immediately retaliated and clashes erupted between the two sides which left Samir Jaafar wounded.
The army confiscated stolen vehicles and weapons.
The army has been hunting down several members of the Jaafar family for their suspected involvement in the murder of Sobhi and Nadima al-Fakhri in Btadii.

“فجر الإثنين، وأثناء قيام قوة من الجيش بدهم منازل مطلوبين في محلة دار الواسعة – بعلبك، تعرضت لإطلاق نار من قبل مسلحين بالأسلحة الخفيفة والمتوسطة، فردت عناصر القوة على مصادر إطلاق النار بالمثل، وتمكنت من توقيف اثنين من المسلحين اللذين أصيبا بجروح، حيث تم نقلهما إلى أحد مستشفيات المنطقة للمعالجة، فيما تابعت قوى الجيش ملاحقة باقي المسلحين الذين فروا باتجاه جرود المنطقة، وأوقفت ثلاثة منهم.
