Aoun: Blood of Servicemen Won't Go in Vain, Truth Will Emerge
During a state funeral on Friday held in honor of servicemen slain by the Islamic State extremist group, President Michel Aoun vowed that blood of the martyrs will never go in vain and that the truth will be unveiled in the end.
“I vow to you that blood of your sons will not go in vain until the goals they died for are attained and until the truth is unveiled,” said Aoun addressing families of the servicemen.
Aoun had bestowed the fallen servicemen posthumous medals.
Aoun pointed out that the fallen soldiers have “stood at the forefront in 2014 to defend Lebanon and have faced danger with faith and resilience. They are a source of pride,” he stressed.
Lebanon has held a state funeral for 10 of its soldiers captured and killed by the Islamic State group.
President Michel Aoun presided over Friday's ceremony held at the Defense Ministry near Beirut.
The bodies of the soldiers were recovered late last month following an army offensive to wipe out hundreds of IS militants who were occupying parts of the Lebanese-Syria border region since 2014.
The soldiers were kidnapped by the militants during a border raid in 2014. Two of them were killed that same year, while the fate of the remaining 8 was unknown until late July when the militants agreed to reveal their burial place in return for their evacuation from the border region to IS-held areas in Syria

Yeah, I remember he and his ministers were demanding on a daily basis the emergence of the truth in the kidnappings of the army soldiers while he was campaigning for becoming president and obstructing the government's work.

Why doesn't the demagogue start his investigation by letting us know who authorized hezbollah to cross the borders and wage wars on arab countries and who ordered the army to help and facilitate hezbollah's actions.

Caporal needs to clarify how he run away to French Embassy in 1990 leaving behind him the troops without giving any directives which resulted in the killing of more than 300 soldiers by the Syrians.
A commission must be appointed as long as there are witnesses who are still alive.
General Aoun who is now president has earned my utmost respect and captured my imaginations for several reasons chief among them:
1) Confirming that Blood of Servicemen Won't Go in Vain
2) Confirming the Truth Will Emerge
3) Demanding the Truth since 2014 until this date
4) Saying "the state cannot negotiate with terrorists and there should not be a swap deal"
5) Making the FPM the 3rd Shia Force in Lebanon
