London Stocks Stable with All Eyes on Brexit

London's stock market steadied at the start of trading on Wednesday, after British Prime Minister Theresa May said she would seek another Brexit delay to avoid crashing out.

In initial deals, London's benchmark FTSE 100 index was virtually flat at 7,390.03 points.

In the eurozone, Frankfurt's DAX 30 index gained almost 0.9 percent to 11,855.40 points and the Paris CAC 40 won 0.6 percent to 5,458.02 compared with Tuesday's closing levels.
