Presidency Schedules PM Consultations for July 26

W300

The Presidency on Monday scheduled the binding parliamentary consultations to name a new PM for Monday, July 26.

Saad Hariri had stepped down as PM-designate on Thursday after nine months of futile deliberations, citing deep disagreements with President Michel Aoun.

Hariri's exit came amid a financial collapse branded by the World Bank as one of the planet's worst since the 19th century.

His departure left the country rudderless as Lebanon faces soaring poverty, a plummeting currency, angry protests and shortages of basic items from medicine to fuel.

Hariri had been nominated premier-designate in October 2020 to replace Mustafa Adib, a relatively unknown diplomat.

Adib had been nominated just weeks after the Beirut port explosion, but quit less than a month later over resistance to his proposed line up.

Outgoing prime minister Hassan Diab, who resigned in the wake of the August 4 explosion, has stayed on in a caretaker capacity until political leaders can agree on a new premier.

Could someone tell this guy that he has never been fit to be a president and became one because of the arms of Huzbullah, to resign and go and tend to his father's farm. We need a president with integrity and humility, not one that his ego touches the skies like Aoun. By the way, if he had ego and did a great work, I would be the first to congratulate him. But, he was a failure since 2005 when he formed his party. So, the best way is to back his stuff and leave. We need not see his ugly face again.

Just by looking at his face, I go to the toilet to throw up. What a joke for Lebanon to have such a stupid president. Not only that, a president represented the Christians. Is there anything more disgusting than this. This one meter tall guy representing the Christians, or more accurately, the devils. Yes, the Christians are portrayed to worship the devil with the likes of this midget Aoun.

Have you even read this backwards book that belongs to another era?
That call Europe a "collection of unfair dictatorships" LOL.
That calls the free world "Satanic".
The best part is when he attacks the "power of bayonets" that maintains leaders into power through oppression. LOL Funny one when you see the number of times that your Ayatollah have repressed the people in Iran.
Please read it before you say such non sense. Idiot.
