ISF Arrests Lebanon’s Most Wanted Individual at Baroud’s Orders

Security forces succeeded on Thursday in arresting Abbas Abu Munthir Tleis, Lebanon’s most wanted individual in a raid in the Brital region in the Bekaa.

Internal Security Forces chief Ashraf Rifi stated that the raid took place at Caretaker Interior Minister Ziad Baroud’s orders.

Tleis is wanted for over 350 arrest warrants for various charges such as robbery, murder, and drug dealing.

Rifi stated that the situation is now under control, adding: “The country is passing through a period of political confusion where criminals consider that they may take advantage of the security situation.”

“The security forces should always be prepared to set up plans to once again take control of the situation on the ground,” he continued.

He reassured citizens that the ISF has succeeded after several days in decreasing the increased crime rate in the country.
