Two Palestinians were wounded by a rocket fired by an Israeli drone while riding a motorcycle in Rafah on the Gaza Strip on Saturday, Palestinian security sources told Agence France Presse.

Medical services in Gaza said the two, who were not identified, were in moderate condition.

The Israeli military did not have an immediate reaction to the report.

Last month, a chain of Israeli air strikes and Palestinian rocket salvoes started when Israel killed Zuhair al-Qaisi, head of the Gaza-based Popular Resistance Committees, prompting other militant groups to fire rockets.

Palestinians in Gaza fired more than 310 rockets at Israel, and Israeli war planes carried out dozens of air strikes, killing 25 people, among them 14 members of Islamic Jihad.
