Jumblat Voices Commitment to Alliance with Hizbullah, Rectifying Ties with Saudi Arabia

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat will remain in the cabinet and is committed to his alliance with Hizbullah, al-Akhbar newspaper reported on Tuesday.

“Although they have different stances regarding the Syrian revolution, Jumblat is committed to his alliance with Hizbullah,” sources close to the PSP leader told the daily.

Concerning his current visit to Saudi Arabia, the sources said that it’s a fence-mending and non-official visit to the country.

Sources told al-Liwaa newspaper that Jumblat’s stances on the Syrian crisis helped “break the ice” with Riyadh.

The MP has been a vocal critic of the Syrian regime, voicing his support for the Syrian people’s demands for democratic change in their country.

The sources informed al-Akhbar that Saudi King Abdullah inquired former PM Saad Hariri about his relations with the Druze leader.

“Hariri’s response was positive,” according to the sources that said Jumblat requested a meeting with Hariri.

Hariri arrived in the kingdom recently where he held talks with the Saudi monarch.

This Jumb is a frog which became jealous of an elephant. Hence it started inflating her body to match the elephant size, but it exploded and died before it reached its goal.

They must have not offered enough money for the 2013 campaign. A little leverage with Hezbollah to secure a bit more.
On the other hand, Jumblatt is negotiating this Proportional Representation bill in Parliament and had spoken to Berri about it. This bill has the potential to reduce the power of the PSP in the Chouf and to increase Berri's power in the South particularly in Jezzine where Hezbollah backed Aoun ticket beat Berri's ticket.
The price for a better bill charged by Berri may have been Jumblatt not breaking ties with Hezbollah.

Many issues are in play at once, regional and domestic.

Knowing this low life criminal, it's only a matter of time before he flips again for the 6827th time. As long as we have lower lives who keep supporting this scum bag, scum bags like Jumblat will continue to flourish at the expense of the lower lives.

If the Syrian regime survives, he is protected by his alliance with Hezb. If the Syrian regime collapses he already has a bridge to M-14 that allows him to break his alliance with Hezb. It is all about maneuvering in the Political bazaar of Lebanon and the region.... it is making me want to vomit.

What we all seem to forget is the evil Jews! It seems to me that all parties are decent people who want the best for their country. One party may resent using its territories to launch an attack on a Genocide-Committing, Barbaric Israel. Another may be angry at Arab rulers for not being truly nationalistic as each of us sees it. Another wants the bribery money from one oil country or another! ETC. But let us not forget that had Barbaric, Jew Israel not usurped the lives, lands and properties of Arabs, Chritian and Moslem alike, we would have solved our problems our way as we did for centuries past!
