World Famous Icelandic singer Björk and British broadcaster and naturalist David Attenborough will explore the evolution of music, in a documentary to be shown on Channel 4, the Hollywood Reporter reports.

Directed by Louise hopper, the documentary, which is to be called ‘Attenborough and Björk: The Nature of Music’ will reportedly investigate the "evolution" of music, both within human history and in the context of the planet's other species. As well as discussing his own love of song, naturalist Attenborough will describe the role music plays in the lives of creatures such as blue whales, the reed warbler and the lyrebird.

"Born from Björk's revolutionary music project [Biophilia], we are thrilled to be able to document this incredible journey with her," producers told the Hollywood Reporter. "She is undeniably one of the most iconic figures in popular culture and truly pushes boundaries like no other artist does."

Attenborough previously assisted Björk in a spoken-word introduction to her Biophilia project, which incorporated live exhibitions and a suite of iPad apps. Although a "making of" documentary was part of that LP's initial announcement, it never materialized.
