More Syrians Kidnapped in Lebanon
A woman told police that four masked men kidnapped her Syrian husband near the eastern city of Baalbek at midnight, the National News Agency reported Monday.
Rahaf Hassan Mashhadani told security forces at the Beit Shama police station that the four men riding a silver four-wheeler kidnapped her 30-year-old husband Khaled Mohammed Mashhadani near his house that lies close to the Bednayel intersection.
Police launched an investigation to find the assailants, NNA said.
Syrian Aisha Abdul Razzaq also informed police in Mrejieh, in Beirut’s southern suburbs, that her brother-in-law Ibrahim Ahmed al-Yehya was seized by men riding a four-wheeler after they threatened to kill him.
No trace has been found of the 27-year-old man since Sunday afternoon, NNA said.
A man has also claimed that his two Syrian relatives, Jemaa al-Hajij and Mohammed Massoud, disappeared from the Beirut district of Ashrafiyeh on Sunday, the agency added.
But later on Monday, NNA said al-Hajij and Massoud were not abducted. "They left Lebanon and entered Syria today," it noted.
No one has claimed responsibility for the abductions which came after al-Meqdad clan warned that it could resume the kidnapping of Syrians after the Eid al-Fitr holidays if family member Hassan al-Meqdad was not released by Syrian rebels.
On Saturday, four gunmen briefly kidnapped three Syrians on the Beirut airport road.
NNA said the men were released after they were robbed by the gunmen who were also riding a silver SUV.

I believe it is out of his control. But he needs to say, they have to be brought to justice and be punished. The problem with Lebanon, everything turns into sectarian and political. When you get rid of these covers, then you can fix Lebanon.
