Tawheed Movement leader former minister Wiam Wahhab called on Prime Minister Saad Hariri to resign and for the establishment of a transition government.

He told LBC: "Hariri is hanging on to his power and I challenge him to resign. He is incapable of managing a government under the admission of the majority of government officials including his own ministers."

"He is also incapable of managing a state and therefore he is not fit to be prime minister," he said.

Wahhab added however that not all members of the opposition support his call for Hariri's resignation.

"Hariri should employ his father's assassination for Lebanon and not for killing it," he continued.

Addressing U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for Near East Affairs Jeffery Feltman's recent positions, Wahhab said that he is the main instigator of strife in Lebanon.

"Ever since Feltman's arrival in Lebanon, the country has not witnessed stability," he noted.
