Salameh Opens London Stock Exchange’s Markets, Takes Part Lebanon Capital Market Day

Central Bank Governor Riyad Salameh opened on Monday the London Stock Exchange markets as part of his trip to England to take part in the Lebanon Capital Market Day conference.

He said at the event: “This development helps highlight the special investment opportunities that Lebanon provides.”

“London is one of the most important financial hubs in the world … and it is an important channel in supporting the financial growth at Lebanese banks and institutions,” he remarked.

“The attention we are being granted is very encouraging and we look forward to discussing Lebanese proposals with a large number of global investors,” Salameh added.

Lebanon Capital Market Day was held in cooperation between the Lebanese Central Bank and the London Stock Exchange, said a statement issued by the Bank.

The conference's events included presentations by Bank Audi, Solidere, BLOM Bank, Byblos Bank, Bank of Beirut, Middle East Airlines, and Malia Group.
