Protesters Occupy Vatican Embassy in Paris over Migrants

Several dozen protesters occupied the offices of the Vatican's embassy in Paris on Monday to support a group of undocumented migrants on a hunger strike who were this month thrown out of a church.

The embassy, known as the Apostolic Nunciature, confirmed the occupation but made no other comment.

Protesters unfurled a banner from the building in central Paris reading: "Jesus defended the stranger. What have you, Christian, done for your undocumented brothers?"

The protesters were supporting a group of about 50 undocumented migrants, mainly from Algeria, who have been on hunger strike since November demanding they be regularized.

Police on December 21 peacefully removed the hunger strikers from a church in the northern city of Lille they had been occupying as part of their protest.

I feel very bad for these people and hope none of us have to ever go through this in our life, but I challenge any of these "undocumented" people and their supporters to flex their muscles at other than these soft targets. For example, let them occupy a mosque or a similar establishment. That alone tells you a lot about Christians...
