Hizbullah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah is scheduled to make a speech on the occasion of the Liberation Day celebrations on May 25.

The celebration will take place at the town of Nabi Sheet at Baalbeck, where Nasrallah will make his appearance at 5:00 pm.

The Hizbullah leader had incurred sharp criticism from Bahrain after a speech he made on March 19 during which he addressed the protests that were then taking place in the Gulf state.

He said that Gulf countries sent troops to Bahrain to "defend a regime which no one is threatening to topple."

"I ask some in the Arab and Islamic worlds: Why have you remained mum over the tyranny against our people in Bahrain, is it only because they are Shiites?" he wondered.

Bahrain made a formal complaint to the Lebanese government over his statements and offer of support to mainly Shiite protesters demanding reforms in the Sunni-ruled kingdom.
