Omar Karami Undergoes Medical Checkups at AUH

Former Premier Omar Karami was on Thursday undergoing regular medical checkups at the American University Hospital in Beirut, said the state-run National News Agency.

NNA said Karami was hospitalized on Thursday morning.

Voice of Lebanon radio station (93.3) reported that Prime Minister-designate Najib Miqati visited the former premier at hospital to inquire about his health.

Like Karami, Miqati hails from the northern port city of Tripoli.
