Peres Urges EU to Put Hizbullah on Terror Blacklist
Israeli President Shimon Peres on Thursday made a fresh call for the European Union to put Hizbullah on its terror blacklist, after Syrian rebels claimed the group had fired across the border at Syrian villages.
Earlier this month, Bulgaria named Hizbullah as responsible for a July bombing in the seaside report of Burgas which killed five Israeli tourists and their local driver, bringing fresh calls for Hizbullah to be added to the EU blacklist.
"It has been proved that Hizbullah carried out the terror attack in Bulgaria, on European soil, and killed innocent civilians," Peres said in remarks released by his office.
"Today there is further evidence of the activities of the organization and its Iranian dispatchers around the world, including in Cyprus and Nigeria," he added.
Peres was referring to an ongoing trial in Cyprus of a Lebanese man who has reportedly admitted belonging to Hizbullah, and who is suspected of planning attacks on Israeli targets.
He was also alluding to Nigeria's announcement late on Wednesday that it had arrested three men who were allegedly spying for Iran and gathering information on potential Israeli and U.S. targets in Lagos.
"It is time that all countries of the world -- especially the European Union -- put Hizbullah on the list or terror organizations," Peres said.
Washington has asked also Brussels to blacklist Hizbullah but such a move would have to be agreed on by all 27 member states.
"In Lebanon, (Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan) Nasrallah, under the cloak of religion, is pushing his country toward a bloody war even though its has no enemy," Peres said referring to rebel claims that Hizbullah, operating from Lebanese territory, had shelled Syrian villages.
"Lebanon must decide whether it wants -- peace or fire," he said.

Peres, we don't care about you and the issues you have with HA. Hezbollah stroke in Lebanon, assassinated our beloved prime minister and many other promising politicians such as Gemayel junior, terrorizes us on a daily basis and frankly, that list doesn't mean much to us. Noones gonna be hanged just to ease you on this. And HA did not murder anyone. Assuming they did, how does murdering back makes you better? It don't. So acknowledge our blooded history and make a change so we can have a clean slate, not a change that's going to spill more blood. Listen, when you have a powerful opponent like israel that you're facing round the clock, there's nothing more that you'd love to have than some love and support. As an 8M I would love an alliance that unites all political groups so we can all have one enemy (ISRAEL) !! But I'm feeling too much hatred and not so much of heart.

I don't know about smuggling any drugs, but if I were HA, I'd smuggle Heroin if I could not just Cocaine and Hashish.. And definitely not for revenues but to break down the israeli empire to its knees so they can all experience and feel what is it like to be weak and helpless and vulnerable and so close to slavery..... @ Mr. Peres, calling something a cancer and urging others to call it cancer as well does not make the cancer go away. In the world of appeasement, political correctness and "not in my backyard syndrome", how do you expect France & Belgium to black list this mercenary Iranian terror group? Do you honestly think they want to start dealing with tourist bus bombings on their own soil?
Please grow up and stop whining. Cancer has to be dealt with head on, with courage, determination and the will to do whatever it takes to survive. Go and surgically remove them, everyone will condemn your actions, no one will publicly appear to help you but all of us average people know millions of dollars will flow to your coffers in appreciation for doing the dirty job nobody wants to do.
