Phalange Party Says a Salvation Govt. Must Endorse Baabda Declaration

W300

The Phalange Party on Monday described Prime Minister Najib Miqati's resignation as “a step in the right direction after a series of political, security and economic setbacks,” calling for “implementing the constitutional mechanism, shortening the caretaker period and forming a national salvation government that leads the country in this critical stage.”

Such a government “must endorse the Baabda Declaration and its stipulations, especially distancing Lebanon from the policies of (regional) axes, as its ministerial Policy Statement,” said a statement issued by the party's politburo after its weekly meeting.

The party underscored the need to “immunize the resignation through halting internal conflicts, especially the unrest in Tripoli, as well as controlling the Lebanese-Syrian border and the crossings and preventing the passage of arms and gunmen in both directions.”

It also called for boosting national immunity through convening the national dialogue table and respecting the parliamentary elections' constitutional deadline and the rotation of power.

Turning to the security situation in violence-hit Tripoli, the party voiced “deep concern over the course of the events in Tripoli,” describing it as an attempt to “create an open-ended security crisis that benefits from the current political vacuum.”

The Phalange Party called on the army to deal firmly with troublemakers and put an end to the disruption of security and the attacks on citizens' lives and properties.

The party also said “the Syrian violations against Lebanese border areas must be granted full national attention, something the resigned government had failed to approach according to the requirements of national sovereignty.”

It called on President Michel Suleiman to conduct urgent international contacts in order to “deter Syria from continuing its territorial and aerial aggression, even if the issue requires filing a complaint with the U.N. Security Council.”

So, the agreement re. distancing from regional/Syrian conflict has been breached since HA's official army is fighting in Syria. Whether with or without a national salvation government, HA will continue to do so as long as Syria is not defeated, and the long arms of the Persian Empire still got a choke hold on Lebanon's neck. What do you do now? Can anyone in the Arab world defeat Iran? Do any of the Arab Nations have the stomach to go into Syria with 100% neutrality and credibility to put an end to the senseless killings? No. Can Turkey defeat Iran? I don't know. If they could and do so, do you want the Turks on your front loans again? No. Can Israel defeat Iran? Most likely. So, who would you chose as your friend to get Lebanon out of this mess? I am not so sure about Israel as long as the Palestinian issue is not resolved in favor of Lebanon.

The arab gulf spend so much time barking about iran but they do nothing about it, instead they spend their money buying planes and cars made of gold and diamonds and compete in building high towers while iran is even manufacturing their own car. The arab leaders made arabs weak yet they complain about iran?

GO RESEARCH SCIENCE, BUILD THINGS, INVENT THINGS IF YOU ARE WORRIED ABOUT IRAN. After your oils is finished, you will have nothing stupid arab leaders. Iran and israel are strong because You are more concerned about buying material things for your yourself instead of advancing your countries. YOU EVEN GO TO EUROPE WHEN YOU GET SICK BECAUSE YOUR OWN HOSPITALS CANT PROVIDE THE CARE YOU NEED. SHAME SHAME SHAME.

Or may be some other people would concede and accept the Palestinians to pay the price for some sort of a peace. Is this what the dirty scum bag, Yassir Arafat, and his cohorts did after pocketing all that money they stole from the Lebanese and the International communities that was supposed to have gone in trust for the Palestinian cause? Ask his widow living in Southern France.

Vincent bro, the scum bag arafat did not steal money neither from the lebanese nor the palestinians or anyone else. His problem was never that he was corrupt, that was something he never was but his allies and close men were the corrupt ones. His problem were a million other things, dont forget that he was hand picked by israel to rule the Palestinians. They needed someone like him. When arafat was alive, there were these rumours being published about him being a billionaire and after he died it was prooven that he never was.

Those who gave arafat money "to the cause" are the same ones giving money to abbas or to our leaders, they know very well that the inner circle will take them yet they still do it because that is why they are giving them in the first place, as a bribe for the sake of israel so that these leaders or their allies will take them instead of advancing the country and then they will say oh well at least we tried trying to portray themselves as the good ones while this was the purpose all along. Those who robbed the lebanese are actually our own leaders that are STILL ruling us since the time of the civil war. Is this not shameful?
