Report: FSA Fighting with Iranian-Made Hizbullah Arms

W300

The rebel Free Syrian Army is fighting government troops with Iranian-made Hizbullah weapons that were smuggled out of the party's depots in northern and eastern Lebanon, Lebanese security sources said.

The sources told the Kuwaiti al-Seyassah newspaper published Tuesday that several Hizbullah members that guard the party's depots in the North and the eastern Bekaa valley have been lately arrested for looting the hidden weapons and ammunition and selling them to the FSA.

Tons of these arms and ammunition worth millions of dollars have also fallen in the hands of Sunni factions in the northern city of Tripoli and the district of Akkar, the sources said.

Hizbullah is a staunch supporter of the regime of Syrian President Bashar Assad and is allegedly sending its members to the neighboring country to fight the rebels that are seeking to overthrow him.

The party has in recent months buried a number of fighters killed in Syria, without publicly disclosing how the men were killed, or where.

Rebel leadership sources also told al-Seyassah that several brigades have been deployed on the Syrian-Lebanese border in Lebanon's north and are in direct contact with Sunni fighters in Tripoli, Akkar and the Bekaa valley's northeast to prepare for a battle with Hizbullah “gangs.”

Hundreds of residents of Shiite villages that lie in areas where the Lebanese-Syrian border is intertwined began heading to the Bekaa valley over fears of invasion, the sources said.

Geha i have nothing against you but you must be a 5 year old kid if you find this funny,if you are trying to be sarcastic, that's something else, but i can predit one of the worst summers facing us this year and that isn't funny at all!!!

Thumb geha 11 years

when I say it is funny, it is due to the fact the FSA is fighting hizbushaitan, iran and the Syrian regime with their weapons. yes there is some irony in this.
if you fail to see it, then you have a problem...
as for the heated summer ahead: it is of great concern to me, and I have been warning about it for a long while.
I wish hizbushaitan to change course and realize that maybe they can still avoid us this should they relinquish their weapons to the state.

it seems that Ashraf el nass have followed the same steps as all other Lebanese militias...i think it is a valid time to disarm HA now because this is only the beginining... in a couple of years they will start asking the Lebanese government to pay them for "protection" and then the people will be "taxed"

al siyasah is one of the least credible arab news papers. wishful thinking if you wanna believe this propaganda

Mowaten- why would this be hard to believe? Is it a certainty? No but to blindly dismiss it is no different than to blindly believe it. How many HA operatives were caught spying for Israel? So I ask you again, why would some spy for Israel for money but not sell weapons to the FSA for money?
You can't dismiss every story against your beloved HA as a lie. That's absurd.

Thumb LEBhasNOhope 11 years

says the person who "believes" 2 HA were settling a "car dispute" with a bomb. or that brand new Mercedes cars only catch electrical fires in south Lebanon. or gas tanks only blow up in south Lebanon. or better yet, how many countries are falsely accusing HA of terrorism? I honestly lost count. you should heed your own advice and start building some credibility first.

This seems really silly, you people take a small story and turn it over against hizballah in order to feel like you're winning an argument. Sure the bashar regime sucks and he should've not attacked the people that way, but when he did want to start negotiations the fsa immediately refused. They want to increase chaos in syria apparently. I also love how people keep criticizing hizballah for siding with the regime when 14 march politicians were eating sandwiches with the american in June.not all syrians are against assad, the false media of sunni countries are giving the allusion that all the people hate him.
