Hizbullah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Progressive Socialist Party chief Walid Jumblat have stressed the importance of close cooperation between the different members of the cabinet to guarantee its success.

A statement released by Hizbullah’s press office on Wednesday said that Nasrallah held talks with Jumblat, who was accompanied by Public Works Minister Ghazi Aridi, along with the presence of Hizbullah official Wafiq Safa.

The conferees “made a general assessment of the cabinet formation process and the challenges and responsibilities that it would face,” the statement said.

“Both sides stressed the importance of close cooperation between the different parties of the new government to guarantee its success and give priority to resolve the people’s problems,” it said.

The statement added that the new cabinet should take its "full national responsibility” in facing local and international challenges.

Later on Wednesday, Jumblat held talks on current developments with the Syrian Ambassador to Lebanon Ali Abdul Karim Ali at his Clemenceau residence.

It is a mirage. How does one have close cooperation with an armed thug who has arrogated to himself the right to use force of arms to enforce his will on others who are not similarly armed nor willing to use force to win political battles.
When two parties enjoy equal mutually respected rights, then their can be cooperation. But when one party exercises unilateral rights derived from the force of arms, and the other does not, then the others rights are not rights, they are simply privileges allowed by the one with the rights. Hence the mirage of cooperation.
What is the appeal of Jumblatt or any other if Hezbollah does not wish to comply with the majority's will. Hezbollah will resort to violence when none of the others will. This renders Lebanon a Hezbollah dictatorship existing under the paper thin facade of a government. The veil is very thin and small and the Hezbollah dictatorship of Lebanon is exposed for all to see.
