Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez to Leave Levante

Levante has parted ways with coach Juan Ignacio Martinez after two successful seasons ended with an ongoing investigation into alleged match-fixing.

Levante sports director Manolo Salvador says Martinez will not be offered a new contract after his current deal runs out on June 30.

The 48-year-old Martinez had never coach in the first division when he took charge at Levante at the start of the 2011-12 season. He guided the Valencia-based club to briefly sit at the top of the league standings before qualifying for the Europa League for the first time.

But the club's reputation has been tarnished by a league probe that is looking at allegations of match-fixing in a 4-0 loss to Deportivo La Coruna.

Martinez has not been implicated in any wrongdoing.
