Geagea Accuses Hizbullah of Involvement in Abduction of Turkish Pilots

W300

Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea accused on Monday Hizbullah of involvement in the kidnapping of two Turkish pilots over the weekend.

“This is my analysis and it's not based on confirmed information,” Geagea said in comments published in As Safir newspaper.

He pointed out that the abduction was carried out in a “statelet” controlled by Hizbullah, “which knows all the security details in its areas.”

A Turkish pilot and co-pilot were kidnapped by gunmen on Friday on the airport road.

The attack prompted Turkey to issue a travel warning urging its citizens to avoid unnecessary travel to Lebanon and those already present in the country to leave.

The relatives of the pilgrims held in Aazaz were quick to deny having any links to the abduction.

The LF leader expressed worrisome over the international classification of Beirut's Rafik Hariri International airport.

He noted that the case of abducted Lebanese pilgrims is rightful, expressing hope that the remaining nine men would be released soon.

However, he said that there are several similar cases.

“If every one acted according to its own will then chaos will reign and the state would fall,” Geagea added.

Eleven pilgrims were kidnapped in Syria's Aleppo region in May 2012 as they were making their way back to Lebanon by land from pilgrimage in Iran.

Two of them have since been released, while the rest remain in Aazaz.

Their relatives have held Turkey responsible for their ongoing abduction.

They have repeatedly vowed to take action against Turkish interests in Lebanon in order to pressure Ankara to release the captives.

Can anyone tell me exactly why Turkish authorities won't or can't cooperate with their Lebanese counterparts to gather intelligence and carry out raids where these kidnappers are?

The families of the pilgrims can do very little to force a government embroiled in civil war to heed attention to its unimportant cause.

Thumb Senescence over 10 years

Oh derp me. For some reason I was thinking it was inside Turkey. Jeez, embarrassing.

So then, can you tell me why exactly the families of the pilgrims have some sort of beef with Turkish authorities?

Thumb justice over 10 years

Coz they believe Turkey has some influence over the kidnappers, right or wrong.

Thumb Senescence over 10 years

I see, justice. And why is it that the kidnappers think the families have authority over the Syrian regime? 'cause the head belongs to an offshoot of the shiite sect? Also why do the families think that, are the kidnappers Turkish or something of the like?

many reports, including from the rebel side (rami abdelrahman inc.) said the abductees were being kept in turkey. turkey is sponsoring the rebels and has THE main say on whether or not they can receive weapons (most transit from there) and allow fighters to infiltrate syria/
turkey could have them freed by snapping their fingers, but didnt do anything.

regarding djadja, i must admit he's being honest for once:
“This is my analysis and it's not based on confirmed information,”

but at the same time he's confirming he's well-deserved nickname of dr areet 7akeh. why accuse when you know nothing? just for the sake of antagonizing each other and creating tensions? tfeh 3a heik 3a2liyet

It ain't Turkey's responsibility to free those "so called pilgrims" and who in fact are Hizbollah active members or supporters... I personally had enough of paying for the crap caused by this despicable terror group... Enough !!!!!!!!!!!!!

no i did not look at the "obvious evidence" because there is no "evidence" at all.

if your evidence consists of the opinions of anonymous commentators on internet who play Nostradamus, then you're as credible as your fake daktor war criminal

why don't these guys protest in front of the SYRIAN embassy? They were kidnapped in SYRIA and are held in SYRIA. of course since SYRIA is part of the trinity of IRAN's goals, they have been persuaded to look to others.

of course, another reason is that the baath regime would rather blow up everyone, kidnappers and kidnapped to get rid of the problem instead of making any tangible effort for their safe release.

Thumb _mowaten_ over 10 years

you're completely biased and you don't seem to know the definition of the word evidence.
by your own standards, there is "evidence" that geagea killed Pierre Gemayyel since it was in Jdeideh.

anonymetexasusa azzaz is 5 minutes by car away from turkey, a little round trip for the televised show doesnt seem too unlikely.
in any case i did not claim they are in turkey for sure, but it is quite possible, and if not, they're right on the border in an area where turkey call all the shots.

Thumb LEBhasNOhope over 10 years

mowaten- you should heed your own advise from a few statements ago regarding your "evidence" that Turkey is involved. in the event you can't figure out which ones I am referring to. Here they are.
"no i did not look at the "obvious evidence" because there is no "evidence" at all."
"you're completely biased and you don't seem to know the definition of the word evidence"
the fact that you dismiss other's statements because there is no "evidence" yet proceed to make the exact statements yourself and present them as evidence is ludicrous. I guess what applies to others does not apply to you.

LOL @ Gaegae: The "environment" of the resistance is that of resistance not terror. These Turkish pilots are guests among "Joumhour" al muqawame' and YES, the airport is within the State of the Islamic Secular Resistance and the airport is Ali Khamaenei International Airport. Just get used to it doctor:)))

And when Dr. Arreet 7akeh was asked for proof, he confidently replied: take my word for it! Didn't I tell you that the Assad regime was going to fall in 2011? Didn't I tell you that the Assad regime was going to fall in 2012? Didn't I tell you that the Assad regime MIGHT fall in 2013? Didn't I tell you that the Assad regime is DESTINED to fall SOONER OR LATER? Didn't I tell you that amn al moujtama3 al massi7i... well... umm... duh... akbar tofnisa w art 7akeh sadda2ouwa chwayet mjedib? Didn't I tell Salam to fom a government bellati hiya a7san or jump into mommy's lap by FOUR FRIGGIN FRIDAYS AGO? And you dare expect a proof? You must be nuts! Little does Dr. Arreet 7akeh that his word is worth Ahmad al-Asir's ka7feh.

Guys, BREAKING NEWS: ASSAD HAS FALLEN. I repeat: ASSAD HAS FALLEN. I would like to add another breaking news: GEAGEA IS THE ONLY ONE WHO IS SPEAKING FOR LEBANON (everybody else are just midgets in comparison. takbir). Take NostraLebanonForever's word for it. What will NostraLebanonForever do with the remaining biggies of Farts 14, Sanni First & aladishon? They probably speak for more than Lebanon, I guess!!! But hey, that's another story for another time while in another bout of hallucinations by one brilliant NostraDamsels, NostraLebanonForever. Everybody should take this fellow seriously, please!

“If every one acted according to its own will then chaos will reign and the state would fall,”

That is the case and there really is no state, there is not even the appearance of a Lebanese state. Hizbullah does what it wants when it wants, the only thing that maters to them is Iran.

This is because the Iranian/Syrian/H.A. agenda was not created for purely Lebanese interests and and does consider the well being of Lebanon in its formula.
