Lebanon to File Complaint against Israel over Naameh Attack
President Michel Suleiman tasked on Friday caretaker FM Adnan Mansour to file an urgent complaint to the U.N. Security Council against Israeli attack on Naameh.
“The border violations must be resolved by UNIFIL's (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) investigation committee and not by aggression or violating the sovereignty (of Lebanon),” Suleiman said.
Earlier on Friday, the Israeli air force "targeted a terror site located between Beirut and Sidon in response to a barrage of four rockets launched at northern Israel yesterday (Thursday)," the military said.
For his part, Mansour denounced the attack in comments to Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5), confirming that the Lebanese state would file a complaint to the U.N.
"Any violation of U.N. Security Council resolution 1701 should be dealt with through the UNIFIL and by a direct attack on Lebanon's sovereignty,” Mansour said in a statement.
The attack comes hours after a different organization said it fired four rockets at the Jewish state from Lebanon.
The state-run National News Agency said the target was a position of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - General Command (PFLP-GC), a hardline but secular militant group which said it had nothing to do with Thursday's rocket fire.
The Lebanese army confirmed the attack.
The salvo of four rockets, which caused damage but no casualties, was claimed by the Abdullah Azzam Brigades -- an al-Qaida-linked group which claimed similar rocket fire on Israel in 2009 and 2011.
In its Friday statement, the Israeli army again said it "holds the Lebanese government accountable for the attack".
On Thursday, Lebanese President Michel Suleiman described the rocket fire as a violation of U.N. resolutions and of Lebanese sovereignty, and urged security forces to hunt down the perpetrators and bring them to justice.

Israel 25 years ago sat down with the representatives of the then Lebanese Government to attempt to reach a peace agreement. A document was drawn up which just had to be agreed to by the two governments. Unfortunately, the moment the Syrian occupiers of Lebanon saw this they demanded that the Lebanese tear up the agreement. So you see, there could have been peace between the two countries already in 1988, and today is still not too late. (If Israel, as you state, wants an excuse to dominate the region, why then did she sign peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan ?)

For as long as the Palestinians remain in Lebanon under the pretext as Refugees then there shall be no rest but only " Unrest" in our Cedar Land !
Now we have more strife with the so called Syrian Refugees ,
I say ALL to the south & set camp all along the Israeli Border let them & the UN handle this catastrophic burden that has set upon us !

Don't complain about your refugee problem. Who is it who allows the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of people who became refugees in 1948 to continue to be called refugees.
If the governments of Lebanon (and for all that matter Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt and other Arab countries) would have absorbed the refugees in 1948 into their countries, just like all the millions of refugees after the Second World War, after the India-Pakistan War of 1947-8, then there would be no Palestinian refugee problem today.
You in Lebanon have many Armenians living there who were refugees from their homeland at the start of the 20th century, but they do look upon themselves as "poor refugees", but see themselves and the Lebanese State looks at them as an integral part of the country.

What a joke. Even the Lebanese media all say that Israels action was a retaliation to the missiles fired into Israel from Lebanon yesterday. So I can only imagine the Israeli Ambassador to the UN Security Council getting up to say simply. "What does the world expect, missiles are fired from Lebanese territory into Israel, the Lebanese Government does nothing about it, then when Israel retaliates Lebanon complains to the UN".
I have a feeling that if a meeting does take place then it will also be discussing the Israeli complaint against Lebanon.

Why is is that Lebanon continues to recognise only the Palestinians as refugees?
Lebanese people of Armenian, Assyrian, or Greek descent are not recognised and don't want to be seen as refugees. There are currently around 150,000 Armenians in Lebanon.
During the 1948 war, some 100,000 Palestinian Arabs fled to Lebanon. After 65 years I very much doubt that there are more than 5-10% of them them still alive, so how is it that there are 400,000 now? For many years it was the Government of Lebanon that prevented them from working at all due to denial of citizenship, and they are still forbidden to work in some 20 professions.

So you have no objection then to the Jews embracing that same Human Rights Charter to explain their desire to return to the whole of the Land of Israel as set out in the Old Testament of the Bible, a book written over two thousand years before the New Testament, and three thousand before the Holy Koran.
You brought up the Human Rights Charter, so you must remember that it works in both directions, and you can't interpret it just as you feel fitting.
