Berri: Cabinet’s Mission is to Deal with People’s Affairs, Make Appointments

W300

Speaker Nabih Berri said he would help the cabinet in its mission to deal with the people’s affairs and make administrative appointments to posts in state institutions.

In remarks to Ad-Diyar daily published Friday, Berri said: “The mission of this government lies in launching a workshop, dealing with the people’s affairs and making appointments.”

He said he would “play a big role with the cabinet in this regard.”

For the first time on Thursday, Berri counted the hours that 58 pro- and anti-government lawmakers had spoke at the parliament during the three-day session aimed at giving the cabinet the vote of confidence.

He unveiled that March 8 MPs spoke for 7 hours and 17 minutes while March 14 lawmakers’ statements lasted for 7 hours and 3 minutes.

Let them bless you well!

lol @ blessing, i thought only religious leaders bless and not war lords! Both of them are murderers of Lebanese during the civil war, or nessyetak el zekra as the MPs of your hezeb say!

Lebanese are amazingly rotten, you forget everything and each day is like a new day and its like each day is ur last day! The ones that made war cannot make peace ever.

Living in America, we are used to times when morons run the government, say like when George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were in power. But here, there is a certainty that the condition will not persist beyond the next election cycle. Our democratic institutions are such that the party out of power can launch a comeback and turn the likes of these out of power.

In Lebanon, I do not know how entrenched democratic habits, such as regular free and fair elections are. Will these two monkeys at the end of an Iranian/Syrian rope along with the third monkey Nasrallah, actually allow an election to occur in which they may lose? If the "Resistance" requires that they keep hold of the Lebanese government, and a loss is looming, will they cancel elections for the sake of preserving their sacred resistance?
I say - no. They will not allow it. Unless the monkey owners in Damascus and Tehran fall, then the monkeys will run off and Lebanon can have her country back.

Once again our friend the "Le Phenicien" out did himself of total stupidity. Did he even understood his friend the "Etize" do for any project that will be built south of Zahrani, he takes Kuwah, means Bribary of 10% to his pocket and his wife...... Maybe as a Phenicien you should remind your self, the word is bigger than you deserve and think how the Pheniciens worked... They worked hard by earning it not by posing bribary on their fellow citizens. Lets see the funds from Iran where will they go to build hospitals and schools for ALL Lebanese, or the so called oppressed people

Indeed they can be proud. The only boxers who can decide on the games rules, allow an armour for themselves, a holster hanging down the hip if that's not good enough, and praise themselves for the happy and fair win! Despicable.

deal with people s affairs? waw! let s see then!

they ALL say that, but at the end only the minimum is done to avoid tension in the streets, that s all!

they rather think of their affairs and see how to make money and steal the maximum while minister or MP!

people s affairs? do they know at least who are the people?
