Military Vehicle Flips Over in Qartaba, ISF Member Killed

A 38-year-old first adjutant at the Internal Security Forces was killed on Tuesday and a sergeant severely wounded after their military vehicle slid off into a valley in Qartaba, in north of Beirut.

The state-run National News Agency reported that the flip over was caused by landslide due to the heavy rain.

According to Voice of Lebanon radio (100.5), policeman Joseph Andary was killed in the accident and civil defense teams are trying to recover his body.

25-year-old Peter Qasifi sustained injuries and was swiftly submitted to maritime hospital in Jbeil.
