U.S. Ambassador to Lebanon Maura Connelly stressed on Monday the need for Lebanon to commit to all of its international obligations.

She made her statement after holding talks with President Michel Suleiman at the Baabda Palace.

The meeting addressed Lebanon’s September presidency of the United Nations Security Council and his upcoming trip to New York to attend the U.N. General Assembly.

In addition, the two officials discussed areas of cooperation between Lebanon and the United States.

Connelly also renewed the United States’ commitment to a sovereign and independent Lebanon.

The comment above is soooo clever...wow!

In any case, I think it's about time the US sends a serious ambassador to Lebanon. Connelly and Sisson before her don't have the required level in my opinion...
