Bahrain Summons Lebanon Envoy, Urges 'Clear Condemnation' of Nasrallah Remarks

W300

Bahrain has summoned the Lebanese embassy's charge d'affaires to demand a “clear condemnation” of recent remarks about the Gulf kingdom by Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

“The foreign ministry has summoned Mr. Ibrahim Elias Assaf, the Lebanese republic's charge d'affaires in the kingdom, following the latest hostile remarks by Hassan Nasrallah, the secretary general of the terrorist Hizbullah,” said a statement carried by Bahrain's news agency BNA.

Bahrain, which blacklists Hizbullah as a “terrorist” organization, has always deplored Nasrallah's statements that voice support for the kingdom's Shiite-led opposition.

On Friday, Nasrallah noted that top Bahraini dissident Sheikh Ali Salman, who was jailed recently by authorities, “has never called for toppling the regime and he did not incite to violence.”

“The reason behind the peaceful approach is not the inability to send weapons or fighters to Bahrain, but rather the fact that the clerics, political leaders and people in Bahrain are preventing that and seeking a peaceful solution,” Hizbullah’s leader added.

He also alleged the presence of a “Zionist-like naturalization scheme” in the kingdom, saying “people are flocking to it from all over the world.”

During the meeting with the Lebanese charge d'affaires, Bahraini foreign ministry undersecretary Abdullah Abdullah called for “a clear condemnation of these statements,” urging “deterring and decisive measures against such remarks.”

Abdullah called Nasrallah's stances “an unacceptable interference in the Bahraini and Gulf affairs that involved a blatant incitement to violence and terrorism.”

Bahrain “cannot accept any meddling in its affairs by any side and it will take all the necessary measures to strengthen its security and stability,” he added.

The incredible credible flamethrower once explained his presence on naharnet:

"...flamethrower--
unlike people like you, I'm into conversing with the opposite side, which explains my presence on naharnet."

and his "conversing" clearly shows..

I await the day when I will read ONE meaningful post, ONE counter argument, ONE credible or mature info from you, ...flamethrower-- , but alas!

Nasrallah's comments were perfectly legitimate and wise. Who do they think they are to think they are above criticism? They can silence people inside the GCC but if they think the whole world has to ibserve their laws of silence they're up for disappointment

of course a terrorist sees nothing wrong with what another terrorist says and finds it perfectly legit. Glad you agreed with him and lent credence to his position.

The Lebanese government and the whole state of Lebanon is nothing short of a joke. It allows a party classified as a terror party to send fighters/terrorists to participate in exterminating a whole population in Syria, allows the leader of this party to jeopardize Lebanon's relationships with neighboring countries, allows this party to interfere in other countries' affairs, and gives this party a free hand in judicial, military and banking practices. A state within a state stronger than the actual state.

The only joke is your comment here.

I have it on very reliable sources that the Bahraini opposition is operation out of Dahyeh. All the demonstrations you see in Manama are orchestrated from the Dahyeh.

They have every right to summon the Lebanese charge d'affaires and read him the riot act. Hezbollah is acting beyond its size and thinks the country belongs to them. This is the arrogance that results from having weapons.

They can go to hell.. What the man said, regardless of whether he is a monster or not, is true. It is a regime oppressing its people.

Why the hell would they bother the Lebanese envoy for this it's fruitless and it annoys the Lebanese envoy. The Bahrainis should call on the Iranian envoy or whoever is in charge of the Iranian affairs in Bahrain and complain to them, Nasrallah is an Iranian envoy to Lebanon.

To my understanding, this statement means that HA offered weapons but the Bahrainy Shiaa community refused.
