Salam: Iran's Intrusive Behavior Triggered Conflict with Saudi
Prime Minister Tammam Salam stated on Friday that the Iranian meddling in the Arab world is the origin of the conflict with Saudi Arabia.
“Iran's interference in the affairs of the Arab world is the root of the conflict with Saudi Arabia,” the Premier said at the World Economic Forum panel in Davos, Switzerland.
“We have to work for the sake of our people. We have to provide them with stability and to hold on to moderation,” he added.
“The continuation of the current conformation will lead to more destruction and will prevent stability in the region.”
Salam voiced calls to support the approach of moderation and fight extremism, stressing that “the key to that is by stopping poverty and implementing economic and developmental projects needed.”
A conflict arose lately between Saudi Arabia and Iran over the latter's attacks against the Saudi embassy and consulate in Tehran and Mashad respectively following the kingdom's execution of Shiite cleric Nimr al-Nimr.
The World Economic Forum in Davos has seen many attendees who were discussing uncertainty about Syria's war and other geopolitical troubles that have weighed on an already wobbly global economy.

So Iran cannot interfere in "Arab" affairs because it is the sole domain of Saudi Arabia? Only Saudi Arabia has the right to meddle in internal affairs of Lebanon? Truth be told... Neither have the right. Both are only involved to out do the other. Leave Lebanon out of your Muslim Cold War... Lebanon is neither Shiite nor Sunni!
Imagine a Lebanon where Israel, Syria, Iran and Saudi Arabia/pan arabia (Nasser's Egypt), Libyans and North Africans, all left us alone!

yeah, KSA is interfering in Lebanon's affairs by strengthening the LAF, supporting its economy, building tens of shia villages in the south after the 2006 divine victory, rebuilding bridges and employing tens of thousands of lebanese.

Salam is a Saudi stooge and not an independent minister as he said.
Lebanon does not consider themselves part of any Arab coalition. It is part of the axis of Resistance and will remain so.
