U.S. Navy Seizes Iranian Weapons Bound for Yemen Rebels
U.S. naval forces in the Arabian Sea seized a shipment of weapons that the United States believes was sent from Iran and was bound for Huthi rebels in Yemen, the Navy said Monday.
The patrol ship USS Sirocco intercepted and seized the shipment hidden aboard a small dhow on March 28.
The illicit cargo included 1,500 AK-47s, 200 RPG launchers and 21 .50 caliber machine guns, the Navy said in a statement.
The dhow and its crew were allowed to sail on after the weapons were seized.
The Navy said it was the latest in a series of illicit weapons shipments which the United States believes originated in Iran.
Pro-government Yemeni forces, backed by a Saudi-led coalition, have been battling the Iran-backed Shiite Huthi rebels for more than a year.
The warring parties are preparing for a U.N.-brokered ceasefire due to take effect on April 10 and intended to pave the way for peace talks in Kuwait a week later.

If that is the real Mowaten and not some clone-troll, this shipment is pretty pathetic. If the dhow had contained 82 T-80 tanks or a complete S-300 air defense system, I would be impressed.
It reminds me of Reagan's plan to release abductees from Lebanon by giving the Nicaraguan right-wing guerillas Iranian anti-tank missiles, or something like that. Imagine if the CIA had to hold a bakesale to raise money to start an insurgency somewhere like Benghazi, Libya, for example.

I would also say that the prospect of President Hillary Clinton has the US elite in a tizzy. Even though she has signed off on every genocidal, racist ploy of the US government in her career, people still suspect that at heart she is a nice honest person who will reject Zionism. So if some faction in the US wants to heat up the Saudi war effort in order to bring on the Second Coming, I wouldn't be surprised.

Saudi bombing is allowed in Yemen under Article 25 of the Lebanese Constitution. This is allowed in anticipation that Iran would try to arm Yemenese after such bombing, so that the bombing was preventative in that sense.
