Hizbullah Holds 'Takfiris' Responsible for Badreddine Assassination

Hizbullah party stated that takfiri groups were responsible for killing the party's top military commander Mustafa Badreddine in Syria in an artillery attack, the party's al-Manar TV said on Saturday.
“An investigation has shown that the blast that targeted one of our positions near the Damascus international airport that led to the martyrdom of the brother commander Mustafa Badreddine was caused by artillery bombardment carried out by takfiri (Sunni extremist) groups present in that region,” a Hizbullah statement said.
It did not name any particular group and there has been no claim of responsibility for the attack, which pro-Hizbullah media said happened on Thursday night.
On Friday, Hizbullah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem said that the party will announce the results of its investigation into the assassination of Badreddine “within hours.”
“Israel and the takfiris received painful blows in the past few years,” said Qassem at Badreddine's funeral in Beirut's southern suburbs, hinting that any of them could be involved in the operation that occurred in Syria near Damascus' airport.
Hizbullah had said on Friday that it was still investigating the cause of a blast near Damascus airport but it did not immediately point the finger at Israel as it did when the commander's predecessor, Imad Mughniyeh, was assassinated in the Syrian capital in 2008.
Badreddine, who was in his mid-50s, was a key player in Hizbullah's military wing.
He was on a U.S. terror sanctions blacklist and a key suspect in the 2005 assassination in Beirut of ex-premier Rafik Hariri in addition to being one of Israel's most wanted men.
Hizbullah has deployed thousands of fighters in Syria where Badreddine led its intervention in support of President Bashar Assad.

welcome back lebjack. Glad you are ok.

Sure sure it was the 'takfiris' LOL. If indeed it was the rebels, he was killed in Tom Khan in Aleppo along with more than 90 other iranian/hezbollah terrorists and not in Damascus. If it were in Damascus it was Israel and hezbollah is lying coz it has to retaliate and it cannot.

The Syrian regime did it

Hezbollah is so weak and scared to blame Israel for the assassination in order not to be forced to retaliate. Al-akhbar (the voice of the terror organization) wrote yesterday that an ultra advanced missile hit 2 meters away from him (which proves how advanced this missile is) in this link http://www.al-akhbar.com/node/257887. Now they changed their mind. Here's a copy of what they wrote:

laughable! If the rebels who are stationed 8 kms away from Damascus can hit with such pinpoint accuracy Badreddine's hideout, why have they not shelled, destroyed, and erased Zainab's tomb ( a fixed target ) from the face of the earth that nassrallah claims he is defending.

how he died is immaterial. The important thing is that he is dead.

if so, then those so-called takfiris are doing a wonderful job.

Why is it always in Syria that top commanders are assassinated? What if he has been "eliminated" like many others who are important witnesses in the assassination of Hariri?

I really like it the way Israel shun away from blaming Israel. It obviously reveals their weakness at the moment. An obligatory retaliation would have been disastrous for the terror organization as Netanyahu and his generals is only waiting for the excuse to extend the "fair game"-area from Syria ti Lebanon.

I cannot stop crying.... My tears dried up! How Sad.... Hajj Badreddine was someone I looked up to as a mentor, a role model, and a father figure. Now that he has been blown up into a 1000 unrecognizable pieces by the tafkiris, I feel lost and alone in this wild cold world. Hajj Mustapha, I will miss you like the desert misses the rain.

This is very touching and i am extremely sad for the loss of this great maggot
