Airport Customs Police Foil Gold Smuggling Bid

The Customs police at the Rafik Hariri International Airport foiled on Friday at dawn, an attempt to smuggle a large quantity of gold through the terminal, the National News Agency reported on Friday.
The Customs thwarted the attempt when a passenger coming from Dubai tried to smuggle in around 90 kilos of gold, NNA said.
The operation was successful after thorough monitoring and tracking the information available, it added.

gold is more than 19 times denser than water, 90kgs take up about 4.5Liters. easily to fit in a suitcase or more likely a backpack/hand luggage. all they needed was an accomplice to get them through the customs in dubai. good thing the lebanese customs were more vigilant.

sorry to burst your detective bubble, but your hallucinative analysis condensed the 90kgs of gold into 4.5 liters forgetting they still weigh 90 kgs; a bit heavy for someone to carry in a backpack or hand luggage unless he is a man of god from hezbollah.
laughable;)

might be technologically too advanced for you... but did you know hand luggage can have wheels?

a compact luggage can also be placed under the seat in the plane, removing the need to lift it to the overhead compartment.

oh so you came back defending your idiocy???
You are aware that hand luggage cannot exceed 7 kgs on a plane. Even with wheels how was that super man able to lift the 90 kgs and put his hand luggage in the overhead luggage compartment.?
Now buzz off and stop your stupidity you arrogant ignorant fool.

lol, good thing you are easily predictable and not too smart, allowing me to answer your question before you even asked it :)

no ya troll; you just realized how stupid you sounded and you came up with another more stupid explanation to justify your idiocy.
You are as arrogant as your arguments. The man was wheeling a 90 kgs piece of hand luggage, passed security and X-ray machines without having to lift up the hand luggage and place it through the X ray machine, right?
You seriously are demented.

another explanation? lol. I'll leave this to the interpretation of anyone reading, it's not like the comments weren't here.
one way or another, that man arrived at Beirut airport with those 90kgs of gold, I gave a valid hypothesis as to how he did it, you prefer to think it was an act of god. after all it's up to you, nobody can force you to be rational when you've decided to be a doorknob.

hehehe so when you get smacked on your nose and can't answer with arguments you take the barking sewer out? lovely :)

perfect explanation by the heretic devil worshiper and its supporting alias.

haha yeah a 90 kg backpack towed under the seat!!! What a clown, what an idiot, what a story:)

lol @mowateh
what a cartload of BS

indeed

as exfpm already said... someone cannot smuggle 90kgs of gold. The man must be a jewelry trader and bought the gold in Dubai. Do you know how strict and advanced the Dubai customs are? The man did not pay off these thieves at beirut airport enough so they accused him of smuggling.

the question is: how did the dubai customs allow him to board the plane and check in 90 kgs of gold if he did not have the right papers of ownership. I doubt this man is a smuggler and I suspect it is the usual corrupt lebanese customs officials.

lol the hasbara trolls solved the case. of course, as usual when in doubt, just slander and accuse the Lebanese side against any others.

and so? I'm not saying all lebanese institutions are beyond suspicion, when there are concrete elements to reach such conclusions then I do. but here nothing justifies or supports the gratuitous slander by your trolling mates.

it seems you pick and choose when Lebanese institutions are corrupt. But when others do they become hasbara trolls.

are you that stupid!? sorry, rhetorical question, you obviously are.
again, as I said, when there are actual evidence or serious indications of corruptions so there's nothing wrong in denouncing it. but when the slander is systematic and absolutely baseless, the only reason behind it is hatred of everything lebanese. which indicates the scumbags making the empty claims are israelis.

the iranian of wilayat al faqih does not see any evidence of corruption in Lebanon's corrupt customs agency;))
But I love how Eagle always makes this heretic POS look as stinky as he really is.

so the iranian troll deleted my comment because it exposed his lies;)! Obviously, it bothered him.
lol here comes the lie-fabricating chimp, @yowateh
were you not the one who said :
"_mowaten_
corruption? negligence? embezzlement? ISF?? how is that possible?"
Now, go hang your self:)

rofl @ this crazed cocaine addict !!!!
Let's see how his story unfolded: The so-called smuggler melted 90 kilograms of gold and when it reached melting point he poured them into 4 or 5 bottles that of course did not melt. Then he packed his 90 kg carry-on or backpack and managed to get it into a car or taxi; went to the airport, got out of his car; was able to lift the 90 kilo bag from the trunk of his car, wheeled it into the airport lounge, checked in without having his 90 kilos carry on weighed by the airline, lifted his carry on not once but at least 2 times and placed it through X-ray machines, boarded the plane, and placed the carry on under the seat.; arrived beirut airport, disembarked, went down the stairs at beirut airport and proceeded through immigration. Not to mention the wheels of his carry-on were still functioning under the weight 90 kilograms of gold.
execution by lethal injection is what you deserve ya heretic!

roflmao !!!!!!!!!!

that is how stupid he is. When not given the script by his iranian employers, he cannot think for himself.

a complete and total idiot

Gold melts at 1065 degrees centigrade. I wonder what kind of bottles did the iranian filth think the smuggler used when he poured the gold molten into them? Surely, not water bottles lmao!
How do you smuggle 90 kilos of gold??
The customs agents obviously did not agree with the share they were offered.
