Hariri Calls Shorter, Condemns Manchester Deadly Attack
Prime Minister Saad Hariri condemned the terrorist attack that took place at dawn today in the northern English city of Manchester.
“We strongly condemn the terrorist attack that left tens dead and many innocent civilians wounded in Manchester,” he told the British Ambassador to Lebanon Hugo Shorter in a telephone conversation.
The PM expressed “solidarity with Britain and its people in the face of this criminal attack," stressing “Lebanon stands in the front line to combat terrorism.”
Twenty-two people, including children, were killed and dozens injured when a man detonated a bomb at a pop concert by US star Ariana Grande in the northern English city of Manchester.
The attack was described as Britain's deadliest terror attack in 12 years.
