Germanos Files Lawsuit against Othman
A new chapter of the "proxy war" between the Free Patriotic Movement and the al-Mustaqbal Movement began over the past two days, after State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Peter Germanos filed a lawsuit against Internal Security Forces chief Maj. Gen. Imad Othman, a media report said.
The lawsuit accuses Othman of violating a judicial decision by "failing to heed judicial writs issued by Germanos related to artesian well violations and illegal construction," al-Akhbar daily said.
Germanos referred his lawsuit to Military Examining Magistrate Fadi Sawwan, it added.
"While certain sources have held the FPM responsible for backing Germanos' decision, FPM sources have said that the anti-corruption file and its consequences are legal matters that have nothing to do with the FPM," the newspaper said.
It added that concerned parties expect Prime Minister Saad Hariri to intervene to "protect Othman."

What do u intend to do abt hezbollah? Start a civil war? They are armed and are holding us hostage. Stop whining and wait it out. I personally had enough war for one lifetime.

Aoun and the fpm have sclerosed the country for 5 years to get their foot in the door and to give a voice to christians. True, they are opportunistic. They are even thugs, sometimes.
But what's your alternative? Keep nabih berri siphoning off all the country monies? You need someone to face berri. Have you seen the roads in the south? Like germany's autobahns. What about metn infrastructure where most chrisians live? Like somalia's roads!!

you cant compare the 100millions stolen by aoun and jumblat and hariri with what berri did. the first 3 are normal corrupt politicians like in most countries.
berri didnt only steal billions. to buy votes, he did much worse. he bloated our public sector with entitled employees who do nothing and who think we owe them and who need to be fed with billions of dollars of our taxes yearly else they go to the streets. so berri programmed the future bankruptcy of the country. what is the petty few billions the others stole in comparison to programming the bankrupcy if lebanon to secure 6 consecutive speakerships for berri the thug in chief?

جرمانوس يدّعي على مارسيل غانم وجو معلوف
ادعى مفوض الحكومة لدى المحكمة العسكرية القاضي بيتر جرمانوس عبر محكمة المطبوعات على الإعلامي مارسيل غانم بتهمة القدح والذم وتشويه السمعة.
كما ادعى جرمانوس على الاعلامي جو معلوف بتهمة القدح والذم والتشهير. ورد معلوف عبر “تويتر” وكتب ” شكراً بيتر جرمانوس! احلى وسام مشرّف على صدري بال2019″.

Germanos is Very Lebanese from Akoura. It does not sound arab. True. But arabism is part of us. It is not our whole.
Even though I favor mustakbal over fpm on most counts, in this case othman is a thug and Germanos is right. Furthermore fpm are not controlling his actions, they are just giving him carte blanche yo do his job.
Furthermore peter germanos is a clean, lebanon loving intellectual. I wish we had more judges like him.
