Miqati Meets Berri as He Seeks to Resume Cabinet Sessions

Prime Minister Najib Miqati met Monday with Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri and left Ain el-Tineh without making a statement.

Meanwhile Miqati’s circles said that “he is working in every possible way to resume the Cabinet sessions.”

The sources told al-Joumhouria newspaper, in remarks published Monday, that Miqati will not lose hope, “especially amid the international support that his government is receiving.”

They added that the government and the ministers are working on the reforms files in order to be ready to be implemented once Cabinet convenes.
