The Israeli army said Wednesday its troops have recently destroyed alleged Hezbollah arms and infrastructure in Jabal Blat and al-Labbouneh in south Lebanon in "special, targeted operations".

In a statement, the Israeli army said it identified Hezbollah weapons and infrastructure in several areas in south Lebanon and destroyed them to "prevent Hezbollah from reestablishing itself in the area."

The statement claimed the targets were arms depots, firing positions, hidden weapons including a launcher with multiple canisters, a heavy machine gun, and dozens of explosive devices.

"Reserve fighters destroyed terrorist infrastructure" in Jabal Blat and located "weapons hidden in a tangled area in the al-Labbouneh area, including a launcher with multiple canisters, a heavy machine gun, and dozens of explosive devices", the statement said. "The forces confiscated and destroyed the military equipment and weapons found in the area."
