Trump says 'working with Lebanon' and will invite Aoun to White House
U.S. President Donald Trump said overnight that he would invite President Joseph Aoun to the White House.
"I think that Hezbollah has been a problem in Lebanon -- big problem. We're working with Lebanon, we're working with everybody in the Middle East ... We wanna see peace in the Middle East ... and I think you're gonna see some very positive things happening," said Trump in response to a Lebanese reporter's question.
"Sure. I would do that, absolutely," he answered on the possibility of inviting Aoun to the White House.

Joseph Aoun is pathetic, incompetent, putting Lebanon in great danger. His weakness and complicity is killing what remains of Lebanon, inviting more destruction & risking our army, airport and infrastructure. As army chief he failed at his primary role to protect our sovereignty. He let HizbIran occupy all Lebanon, build tunnels & arm depots turning our nation into Iranian rocket base. Today his kneeling to Iran mercenaries is causing billions in damage, risking the South being permanently occupied, and making investment & recovery impossible. Disarming Iranian mercenaries has nothing to do with Israel, US or Arab pressures. It is the only hope Lebanon has to survive. Israel interest is for HizbIran to remain in control of Lebanon while unable to harm Israel. He is doing Israel bid by sacrificing Lebanon. Empty speeches. Lost all respect!
