Trump lauds 'low' inflation, urges Federal Reserve to cut rates 'meaningfully'

President Donald Trump touted "low" U.S. inflation numbers Tuesday, taking aim at the central bank chief for being "too late" to slash interest rates and urging further rate cuts to boost the economy.

"Great (LOW!) Inflation numbers for the USA. That means that Jerome 'Too Late' Powell should cut interest rates, MEANINGFULLY!!!" the U.S. leader wrote in a post on his Truth Social platform.
