Israel says no direct talks planned with Lebanon to stop the war
Israel said on Sunday that no direct talks were planned with Lebanon to end the war, a day after a Lebanese official said Beirut was preparing a delegation to negotiate with Israel.
Asked whether Israel was set to hold such talks, Foreign Minister Gideon Saar said: "No."
Saar also called on the Lebanese government to take "serious steps" to stop Hezbollah from firing at Israel.
On Saturday, a Lebanese official told AFP that preparations were underway for potential negotiations with Israel, but that Beirut was waiting for an "Israeli commitment to a truce."
Other than demilitarizing Hezbollah or expelling the Shia population to go live in Iran, what does Lebanon have to negotiate with that Israel would consider valuable to have?
Why would the enemy negotiate with the hezb when they know the real decision lies with the masters of the hezb in Tehran?
The benefit of having organized crime run your territory is that when its various leaders contradict each other, nobody complains. The secret to living in an organized crime environment is looking the other way and nodding occasionally. Most importantly, never look anybody in the eye.

Lebanon, through Qmati, announced that they have no intention to have peace with Israel. There's already a ceasefire in place. Nothing to talk about.
