Berri says US seeking to extend Lebanon-Israel ceasefire

Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri confirmed Monday to the Asharq al-Awsat newspaper that "Washington is making an effort to extend the ceasefire in Lebanon."

Moreover, Berri refused to disclose his position on the direct negotiations with Israel planned by President Joseph Aoun.
